Funny, I just started watching this video cause I just bought a flat stick for my C5. I was thinking "this guy sounds familiar..." then realized I'm already subbed to you!

Thanks for the video. I just bought my C6 3 days ago and the only negative that I have is shifting .... and it's difficult to get into reverse. I reckon this will be my first mod!!

man, some C5 guys upgrade to the C6 shifter! lol, imagine how bad ours must be!

Awesome video! This makes me want a MGW. And by the way, I'm pretty sure you can't shift into reverse when the car is off. All C6's have a reverse lockout gate that's only active when the car is running. Once it's shifted into reverse for the ignition shutoff and the car isn't running it can be taken out of reverse but wont go back in until its turned on.

Thanks for the like! I'll have another video out soon. The MGW is a solid choice. I put a couple of miles on it already and love it. It's really night and day different over the OEM setup. Funny you mentioned the reverse lockout when the car is off. I've heard that a couple times now, and didn't realize it when I was making the video. *humbled...* lol.

It took me a while to realize it also lol. And awesome I'm looking forward to it, I'm subscribed now. I have a c6 with a B&M in my car but it still seems like a longer throw than the MGW in this video. Mine also wiggles a little. The MGW seems to be more firm and precise

On their website I can only find their shift know where the reverse pattern is down and I don't want the grip know how did you go bye getting the white know with right shift pattern for c6?

Ever get any weird smells from the dynamat in that area? I read a few forums saying that dynamat doesn't like being applied to hot locations.

Nope, never for one second smelled anything.

Why the skip shift I have a C5 535 hp and I only use 4 gears anyway it has a 6 but dont need 2nd or 4th.but mine does have a short throw

Because! Skip shift eliminators are the #1 first mod to do on these cars. Not everyone goes from first to 4th.

My upper shifter box assembly won't come off, no matter how hard I pull. did you have this problem?

Yes, mine was on fairly tight. If you have all of the hardware removed, you might need to pry it off.

@@Greenlightfilming got it off eventually, yanked it so hard when it came out I hit my self in the face with it, got a black eye now haha. Success 🙌

you cant put the car in reverse when the ignition is off

How did u completely, remove the panel duct?

You just pop it loose from the dash. It comes out with a little bit of finesse.

Did you ever shifted into the wrong gear since the short shift?

Negative. Luckily I never had that issue.
