Hey man, congratulations on coming back to the channel. When I had my 2009 Z06 built by American Heritage Performance in California handled everything. I used the original block with there aftermarket heads I had it darton sleeved with forged internals. They did an amazing job I also had a transmission torque tube differential axles clutch all stage 5. It safely now can put down 1100rwhp to the wheels on E85. Always enjoy watching your videos. I discovered a little trick to add some airflow to the radiator in front end of the car for about $12. Let me know I'll send you my KZbin upload. Best of luck 👍

Also foaming your car first will help lift most of the dirt off the paint surface helping prevent you from scratching the paint. I foam first & wait 3-5 mins then I foam again & wash with microfiber towels. My car is also ceramic coated so the first foam removes 90% of the dirt & oil from the paint.

Good point, didnt think about that. I generally try and sling some soapy water where I will wash next.

@@z06baron6 love the videos Baron! I have a 2010 GS LS3 that I’m putting a BTR stage 4 cam in for the spring. I’ll definitely be resourcing your videos when I have to do the clutch down the road

You’ll get the Crank shaft position sensor DTC light because of the starter. I used to get it when my starter failed to start the car on a hot start due to the heat soak. I replaced my starter with a power master 9509 & never had problems with heat soak again. The only issue is that the ground & power terminals are so close to each other. I had my starter jump itself while I was on the interstate & fried it. Lucky I had insurance on it. I had to zip tie / pull the wires away from each other so they won’t touch, but it’s a really dumb design to begin with.

Good to know, thats what I thought but wasn't 100%. Sure enough when the starter is healthy it doesnt throw a code.

How many miles were on your LS7 when it went? Did you have fixed heads on it?
@z06baron65 күн бұрын
Heads were fixed then at 70k a lifter went out along with a lifter bore, 95k multiple cracked sleeves and another failed lifter

Lifter started going out, multiple valve springs were breaking, 6/8 of the sleeves were cracked, block was cracked behind that.
