They’re swapping out all of the body panels too… It’s what we call a body change where we assemble all of the amgs parts onto a standard w204 body to avoid paying higher taxes on the amg variant

@@BNizam depends on how you see it. It's possible to spend half the amount or even lesser for a similar setup and as for the upper limit, there is none. I personally know two people who've swapped out their stock engines from a decent AMG Avantgarde C200 and a very low specced C180, w203 and 204 respectively and both upgraded the engines toC63 engines, the older gen 6.3 for the w203 and the newer 6.2 for the w204, the older car was in a better overall condition. The guy who basically transformed his car into the newer C63 (2010 - originally 1.6 Blueefficiency elegance) redid his entire car. He went for the AMG body kit, interior, suspension, brakes, antiroll and strut bars and he ended up spending much less than the amount the guy with the the 2005 C200 spent on just his car's engine swap. Older engine swap for the price of an entire newer gen project minus the price of the car in both cases and a few tweaks here and there. I'm myself currently working on my fourth project from the ground up, not mentioning just engine swaps and minor upgrades rather full on projects including a couple that required. donor cars and multiple engine and transmission combinations for each individual car. Two were 1J single turbo builds, one a very high spec 4AGZE HKS tuned FWD and a 3SGTE setup. All JDMs. The one I'm currently working on is my first German car and I'm still working on the initial design phase and brainstorming on whether I should stay true to original manufacturer's tried and tested works or experiment with anything and everything one can't essentially refer to as anything with the term "bolt on" in it or in other words, do my own "jogaar" and "khwari".

@@Zebness990 I would prefer w204 as well, partly because it was probably the most iconic c63 ever, and partly because c63 black series is the car that made me a car enthusiast. The reason I love these swaps is because I thought I would never be able to own a c63 w204 in PK because of import restrictions as I grow up. Seeing it a possibility makes me extremely proud. Facinating work on your end. Is it an AMG you're working on? My goal is to prepare a 4 door c63 black series with the 6.2 engine and widebody kits.

@@rezzo_6fn659 thanks. And engines in my country are dirt cheap. They're imported directly from Japan and come in bulk. Thousands of engines, mostly Toyota, honda and suzuki, shipped in containers and these containers also contain cars cut in three portions, vertically cut across the pillars. The "nose cut" contains the dashboard, firewall, engine bay with the engine, hood, fenders bumpers and lights and complete wiring, then a B pillar cut with the floor, roof, doors and seats and lastly the rear with the boot and fenders, bumpers, lights and tank. The suspension parts and wheels come with the chopped up cuts. Engines and parts here cost cents over dollars because the cars they're removed from are used and/or damaged. Just for an example, a high end 2jzgte complete setup would cost around $1200 - 1500 but regular engines e.g Honda civic, Toyota Corolla engines cost in the $250 - 1000 range. Smaller engines around and under 1000cc can cost an average of $200 - 250 or less. At times the rarer an engine, the cheaper it gets, e.g a 1Uzfe 4.0V8 setup won't cost $1000 including labor costs for swapping it. And by setup I mean to complete engine with wiring, engine mounts and transmission. Engines from German cars for instance BMW Mercedes and Audi can cost anyway between $500 up to a few grand. If you buy a full nose cut of a Toyota Corolla say 2010 to 2014 model it would cost around $1500 to $2000.

The thing is that in most Asian countries there are massive custom duties on large engines (3 l. and larger). So you can either pay 3x more for an original C63, or get a hack job like this where you'll get 90% of the satisfaction of owning a C63. The guys who get these cars converted are usually just after the performance, just like the way you would LS-swap for fast cheap gains in US for many cars.
