I'm not sure which is most impressive, the fact that you did this in your home workshop with no vehicle hoist, the fact that you did this alone, whilst filming it or the fact that you didnt end up with a bunch of useless scattered parts at the end and had a running car again when you finished up......seriously, well done man, great video and I especially loved the meticulous engine alignment steps when you lowered the new one in, that's patience and you demonstrated why it pays off to be that way with one of these German jigsaw puzzles.

Great video. Get the extended harness for the ecu and move it off the engine so it won't get destroyed by the heat.

You sir made this look easy. Mine is a 4 matic, the AWD parts make this more difficult. The driver's cv has a half shaft run through the oil pan... The front diff prop shaft blocks the exhaust bolts and the transmission bolts. Good times.

01:04 It's Like Mercedes Benz is Going Backwards. Its Fu**ed Up how in 09 (I think 08-11) They have this Cool Pop-out Info Screen in the C300's and C350's, But From 2012 They Went With the Smallest Screen that Don't Even have this Cool Pop-Out Factor. Its Just Sad.

What is the biggest engine I can fit? I can cut a hole in the hood if I need to. I was going to start with just the headers but if I can put new headers on an entirely new engine that would be perfect.

You can swap it with a 3.5L engine M272 engine. You will need the Engine control module from the same MY and it will need to be matched to the car by a company who specializes in Mercedes Ecus. The 3.5l makes 272 hp to 283hp depending on the year and model. Later 3.5l engines have better exhaust and flow but might not work with your cars transmission as it will shift earlier than expected.

It’s possible but I am not sure if it’s worth it, you will have to swap everything ECU, SAMS, Harness,, Ignition, Hood, fenders, bumpers, everything, etc

02:13 Really? I Would think Not, If this is More Room than a BMW, Then I Might Think Twice Then. I'm Actually Looking for a Way To See If I Can Remove that Shield That Runs Behind The Engine, Because I'm Trying to Replace the PCV/Breather Hose, But There's Literally No Room, I've Seen People Removing the High Pressure Fuel Pump Just To Replace it Because its in the Way and that's Just And Unnecessary Work that Don't need be done.
