They were designed from the start at IH to outperform the D-8 and the 2 spd steering was a proprietary feature I believe.
@rp1645
@rp1645 3 сағат бұрын
YES 😊 I think that is an excellent design feature. The two track steering control levers have a high and low speed. I ran a 125 & 175 International front loaders on a big development mainline and side sewer stubs job. I loved them. We had a Case 850- B and a 450-C the 850 case had the raised center between legs two levels for steering. I always steered the wrong way going backwards. So I just started using the pedals on the floor to go backwards

Clint, thaks for the explaination - of the Pond work - just a quick comment - since you edit these - it would have been nice to have the "WHAT WE ARE BUILDING" - prior to the actual timelapse portion - to follow the actual progress - your HOW the tractor operates and walk around was perfect - here again - patching that before all your operating shots - would allow us to see and understand the actual movements as you operate. I really enjoy your channel.

I really love your videos. I have ran a D6 and a 955 Caterpillar at an iron mine many years ago but never did maintenance or mechanic work on them. We had mechanics for such work so it is very interesting to me to watch your work. The welding your son does really excites me as I have done quite a bit of heavy industrial type welding ( mostly stick and TIG ).

Thanks for the video.

Thank you so much 👍 ( Clint) for showing dirt moving by that BIG baby boy Go International all day 😊❤😊 a big thank you for showing controls how they move. What function do 😊❤😊 its so interesting that the JD put the Deceleration pedal on the opposite side of floor. I ran the Case 450-B back in 1979 On a big sewer mainline development 😊 The Two cases had the control levers for tracks both high/ low speeds. The case had a throttle pedal on floor.

Always like running a TD 25. I know at the time we had a TD 25C and I would much rather run it than the D 8 K. We had at the same time. There was an ongoing argument with fellow co-workers so we put the D 8 and the TD 25 blade to blade . The 25 (even though it had a sheep’s foot hooked on at the time) pushed the 8 backwards. We always thought the 25 fell in between the D 8 and the D 9.
