My history teacher at school was Polish, when Germany and Russia invaded Poland in 1939 he and his brother left the country and walked through Europe before getting on a boat to the UK. Where he stayed and raised his family and became a teacher, he was more loyal to the United Kingdom and Winston Churchill than anyone I know. A lovely teacher who was passionate about his subject, when he passed away in the mid 90's at his funeral the Church was full and people were outside listening to the service as well. Most of the trades people we use are Polish, as you say they are good people and very hard working, fortunately they fit in nicely in the UK culture as our humour can be really dark which fits them. 👍

Thank you for talking about someone putting rocks in engine. Back in the late 1970s when working for my uncle. We were working a side sewer job in the BAD part of big city in my area. And the next morning we came to work and the young gang bangers had put as much rock as they could down the stack of are Case 580-C. We removed stack and Got as much out as possible. But boy those days were ruff, doing sewer jobs in that part of city. Thats why I loved the Lock out system of the International equipment they made back then. It was bullet proof

Three years ago on the Friday before Father's Day I hauled home my 64 F100. Three previous owners attempted and gave up on this gem. Everything they touched was f'd up. Disc brake conversion had the calipers on the wrong side, attachment bolts in the wrong places as well as the mid 70s Ford rotors were even screwed up in that the wheel bearings couldn't snug up because they bottomed out on the spindle taper. And that was just the front axle!!😢 Fortunately it was a bare frame rebuild so everything was getting looked at anyway. I hate following behind knuckleheads!!😊

As a mechanic in the USAF, I saw some bad incredible things. Two of them involved metal wedding bands. One was when a mechanic brushed his ring on a live wire...his finger was amputated in a sec. The other is when an airman jumped from a truck. The ring got caught on a brachet. The finger looked like an overly sharpened pencil...
