Some dwarfs have grudges against another dwarfs. I remember a story where two clans that had grudges against each other tried to cooperate to repel greenskins attack and statues of their gods fell on them, because it was against the rules to cooperate with someone you have a grudge against. May be it was in Karak Azul, idk, I'm not that into dwarf lore.

and let's be honest, once Dwarf settlement reach t5, they can basically steamroll the world with 1 thunderbarge for each army already. This end game crisis mode only make the steamroll a bit sooner and funnier

It's a toggle end game option you have to choose and implement already. If you don't want it you can not have dwarves as an end game crises while playing them or not Confederate them after they appear. Don't think it warrants patching.

Completely unrelated, and not quite as broken, but you can also recruit past unit caps for races that have caps like beastmen or tombkings. Just que up what recruitment you have the cap for, end turn, and then reload the save while the other factions are taking their turn. When you reload the units will still be in que, but they won't count against your cap anymore so you can just que more of them up. You can keep reloading the save to fill up all of your recruitment slots this way. Beastmen taking advantage of the moon recruitment effect and a herdstone can almost get a full stack of minotaurs as soon as you unlock recruitment for them.

Haven't heard anyone talk about it yet, so I thought I'd share it on a video that's also talking about some kind of new exploit. I'm willing to bet though, that while you're here accusing people of cheating, you've got 100 different mods installed and act like they're all "perfectly balanced"

The "Become the Crisis" ala Stellaris really should be how they implement Nagash in this game and not how to cheese Dwarfs. They should just make it that you cant have your own endgame crisis if you are playing that faction.

(If you're wondering the other 2 are it's Greenskin's confederation upon defeating the faction leader in battle and Wood Elves confederation quests, if you save the quests for after endgame crisis has spawned you can then complete the quest to confed the faction.)

Angry dwarfs through crisis --> Confederate free armies --> Profit?? Keep in mind this works for any dwarf, just make sure to set the ultimate crisis to 200% as the higher the number the better armies you get given! Also a suggestion would be to confederate whichever lord that correlates into the area you want to expand towards.

The Greenskins have had a form of this for ages. You just had to beat the faction leader in a battle and their faction and armies joined you. So you could set up armies that followed the faction leader and instant take over the crisis or let it happen naturally over time.

I haven’t been able to get close to confederation the other factions have so many settled grudges there is no way for me to catch up. Need like 80000 settled grudges to get a confederation

Honestly in the early game at least this is only an issue if you set the endgame crisis to spawn early. In which case, sure, you do you and have fun but it's not the situation they've designed the mechanic around - you've created your own scenario and are free to abuse it if you wish. Now suddenly getting this in the late game as just a huge random powerup if you time it well is still pretty nuts, especially keeping the free upkeep on them. Might go down that route on my Malakai run, I always play Ultimate Crisis for shits and giggles

My fried and I were playing a multiplayer game trying out the new factions and he gave up around turn 45 as the game was just not fun to play with all the debuffs he was getting as the dwarves.

Yeah! But to confederate them you've got to hunt down their legendary lord to fight, make sure you win the battle and then confederate them, this is easy as clicking a button so the setup required is reproducible at any point and you can confederate whichever dwarf lord that you can to expand into.

Funny but a bit dumb. The number of Grudges requirements should scale depending on the power of the faction (equal or lower = 7500 and stronger more but scaling with force balance). So if they have big armies, they should be way harder to confederate.

I don't really see this sort of thing as a big problem. I mean, you are probably purposely doing this it's probably not going to be an accidental occurrence many people will encounter. Let the players do cheesy crap if they want. However if they are determined to fix the issue. They should just prevent the endgame crisis from spawning as the same race you are playing. Solves this and all future problems that surely will arise.

I dont think this is broken honestly - you had to set it a certain way, so you can be diplomatic with the crisis faction, right?? Which is turned off by default? And on top of that, you turned up the end game crisis so their armies would be "more broken" - can you recruit new units into those armies, and those units are then free? If you can, I could see some edge cases of it being absolutely broken, but it seems like too much footwork to blame CA for breaking the game

Yeah it's a single player game and you want to be busted strong. Go ahead. I see no reason for CA to patch this. Just don't play with these obviously overtuned settings if you don't want to do this. In multiplayer campaign all you have to do is not have dwarves as an endgame crisis if one of you is playing one, solved. I don't like my own species fighting against me anyway. If I'm playing Dawi it makes very little sense for all the Dawi to just start attacking me anyway.

It's an end game crisis you can toggle when you pick your campaign to play. You can decide if you want it or not, what severity, what turn range you want it to happen and so on.
