Silver Creek senior Adaugo Nwachukwu is taking her talents to North Central College for the next four years.
"When I went for a visit, I just like, automatically, kind of connected with the school. I just felt like, I see myself here in like the next four years," said the future Cardinal.
Adaugo, who went undefeated, winning 45 matches as a junior, earned California's number one ranking ahead of her senior season campaign. Two weeks after winning her school's first State title in February of 2020, the pandemic shut down all levels of sports not just in California but throughout the entire country. Despite the lockdown, Adaugo found a way to keep wrestling and signed on the dotted line to wrestle at North Central College located in Illinois.
When the wrestling season starts late this fall, Nwachukwu will be entering her fourth year of wrestling. Her ambitious drive, coupled with her desire to be great is what sets her apart. She walks the talk and welcomes any and every challenge that has come her way. Her goal is to be an Olympian and will decide if she'll represent her native country of Nigeria or the USA when that time comes.
