🇧🇪 Cab Ride 1952: The famous PCC 1024: Amstelveen - Amsterdam Museum Tram Line 14/7/2019

Today we are riding along with the Electric Museum Tram Line Amsterdam, on the only remaining piece of track of the Haarlemmermeer Railway lines. Historically a unique journey that HAD to be recorded by Cabview Heritage! We are filming from the PCC 1024, built in 1952 and employed by the Haagse Tramweg Maatschappij until 1981. Vandaag rijden we mee met de Electrische Museumtramlijn Amsterdam, op het enige overgebleven stukje spoor van de Haarlemmermeerspoorlijnen. Good question! It was originally used in Amsterdam. The traffic police operated the traffic lights at a complicated intersection from this house. More info: nl.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duiventil_(Amsterdamse_Bos)

@@cabviewheritage Thank you! Microsoft Edge browser helpfully will translate the whole page to English, so I was able to read this. (Other browsers (probably Chrome) may do that, too, but for this one I am aware.) I do that on your KZbin page as well so I can read all the comments. "In 1992 it was relocated as a monumental building to a place next to the Museum tram line at the main entrance of the Amsterdamse Bos." So I guess now it is a bit of a museum exhibit appropriately placed.

I remember riding PCC's in my city in my childhood. Looking back, these were solidly built trams/streetcars.

🚊deze rit heb ik dik 35 jaar of meer geleden in Den Haag wel te verstaan met deze PCC car naar Delft meegemaakt,rechts af op de brug was toen het eindpunt,achteruit rijden en terug naar Den Haag CS.bedankt voor deze mooie video.greetz:🍐Peer.

Trams van 070 en 010 in 020 dat is het zelfde als vloeken in de kerk. Ik vraag mij alleen af wat de man met de rode vlag is. Hij is geen politieagent en geen verkeersregelaar dus mag hij officiël geen verkeer regelen.

Waar dat precies onder valt is een goede vraag, maar dat hij bevoegd is, is zeker.

Een spoorwegbeamte met een rode vlag staat gelijk aan een verkeersbrigadier met een stopbord, je bent dus wettelijk verplicht om te stoppen.
