Hi, nice to see this beautiful cab ride through The Drava Valley. Drove once, in 2010, on the parralel road, coming from Austria (Bleiburg) to Maribor, but it was mostly during the night. You had also a perfect clear sky day, must have been a real pleasure to be there and amire the green mountainous landscape. Yes; I know that parallel road in Austria, it also is very beautiful. Maybe you should make another trip like this during the day. On the Slovenian side there is also a bike path along the river Drava, never did it though, but I would love to do it. My bucket list is getting bigger with every new trip that I make. The world is huge and at the same time is getting smaller and it is truly amazing. Greetings from Slovenia.

The nature is astonishing, I agree. Especially at this time of the year when everything is so green. Slovenia is small, very green country and it has various totally different landscapes. In less than two hours driving you can come from the Julien Alps to the Mediterranean See.

Prosim vas, da me razumete in ste potrpežljivi, ker ni mogoče dodati hitrosti na vseh posnetkih, ker se npr. v tunelih GPS signal izgubi in posledično nimam podatkov za prikaz hitrosti vlakov. Simply incredible scenery!! With few population centers and not much industry one wonders how this line can exist. But the scenery is nothing short of gorgeous! There must be considerable passenger traffic amongst hikers, tourists, and just those that want to get away from it all for a while. Is there much traffic in amongst skiers in the winter? This line is like someone in Slovenia said let's find out where our most scenic hiking trail is and put rails down on it. What a beautiful journey to take on this line! Simply stunning!

The scenery along this line is gorgeous. There is a cycle route along the Drava river, so there is a lot of bikes on the train.People go up the river with the train and back down to Maribor cycling. Don't think there are much skiers on the train, but definitely lots of hikers. Slovenia is a paradise for hikers. Hiking and mountaineering is very popular.

In the summer, there are a lot of tourists, but usually *(except students going to school and back home daily), the trains run pretty empty as seen on the video. The reason is mostly because of long travel time - despite many straight sectiobs the train runs extremely slow. (by using the paralell road on the other side of the river you cut time by half ) and low frequency of trains. There is a giant steel producing plant and some other large industry complexes on route so there is some freight traffic. With the upcomimg renovations and opening of high speed rail line in austria - if they flatten out the curves a bit and remove some stops, it might become much more popular. And yes, whole Drava river is just gorgeous, especially the section on this video and the whole Austrian part of Drava. The line is probably not profitable, but it is a neccessary one.

Wieder ein Video nach meinem Geschmack, da ich diese Strecke in der Gegenrichtung (von Bleiburg/Pliberk) schon einmal benutzte, 5 Monate nach dieser Aufnahme. Eine wirklich abenteuerliche, nostalgische Zugfahrt. Schade, dass die Fahrt nicht bis Bleiburg gezeigt wird.

Ko sem snemal, je bil del Prevalje - Holmec zaprt zaradi vzdrževalnih del na progi. Pa tudi, kolikor vem, vlak do Pliberka vozi le ob sobotah. Vsekakor se bom vrnil na to progo in posnel tudi ostanek.

Odličen video. Merilec hitrosti naj bo za 50% manjši, pa skrajno v levem spodnjem kotu. Vsaj meni je mal moteče, ker preusmerja pozornost namesto da bi užival v razgledu. Kompas je odveč.

@@RailRelaxation Naredite isto kot v videu Zagreb-Koprivnica, samo brez rumene črte, ki prikazuje trenutno lokacijo vlaka na poti. Namesto tega lahko med postanki pokažete v videu karto, ki naj bi pokazala trenutno lokacijo vlaka in naslednji odsek proge. Za to lahko uporabite kar google maps, ki tudi zna izrisati pot (železniško progo) med vema krajema. Za izris poti izberete ikono javni promet, ter pod gumnom/linkom "Možnosti", izberete "vlak", ostalo odkljukajte. Za podlago karte pa izberete podlago "relief", tam pod sloje v spodnjem levem kotu. Tako bo gledalec imel lažjo predstavo o pokrajini skozi katero vlak vozi. Velik plus, da ste takoj na začetku pokazali karto železniškega omrežja.

@Pifko6 če pogledate kak novejši video, boste videli, da navadno ne uporabljam več rumene črte, ostaja samo merilec hitrosti v levem spodnjem kotu. Primer v posnetku Celje-Velenje.

@multijostin glede na trenutno stanje proge in prometa na njej strojevodja večkrat dobi drugačna navodila, zato je večkrat hitrost drugačna od največje dovoljene hitrosti.

During the summer, from 11 June to 27 August, there are two trains every Saturday from Maribor to Bleiburg in Austria which offer transport to passengers and their bicycles. At the moment I recorded this line there was a work on the line from Prevalje to Holmec on the Slovene/Austrian border. Maybe, next time I will get to film the whole line Maribor - Bleiburg.
