This line needs to be upgraded to double track and 250km/h, to cut travel time down to 3 hours, and then the up to 20 daily flights between these 2 capitals, which is insanity, can finally be banned.

Fun fact: There is currently a big initiative and project to build/improve a large rail network between Stockholm and Oslo to reduce the journey from a roughly five or six hour ride down to a less than three hour one. It’s called Sthlm-Oslo-2.55 and it’s really interesting since the current line hasn’t seen much development for 50+ years.

nice, but the audio is not in sync with the video, ex. at 31m, where you enter Laggesta station, the audio suggest an accelerating train when you are stopping ! CORRECTION: it is not at all the right sound file associated with the video.

@@dh8b I am sorry for that. I am working on it, but the original sound was really unusable because of the strong wind noise. I am working on it. The sound quality is, at the moment, my biggest challenge at the journey of producing those videos. I figured out many other things to be able to create good quality picture even at high speeds, but the wind is my next obstacle to overcome.

Is the audio copy&pasted almost everywhere in the video? For example, when the train arrives to Läggesta @ 29:58 it slows down but the audio is from a train that accelerates. It´s easy to hear that the audio you hear is not from the video you see on many places...

I am pretty sure the camera is on the outside of the cab, as there is no bugsplatter. Windnoise may have made the audio unusable.

Yes, my thoughts excatly. Distances are large and population and traffic density is very low - so it actually makes sense. They even have a 250-capable single track in the north (Botniabanan), though I think it's mostly operated by 200 km/h capable Reginas.

Ja, verkligen en spännande och ovanlig resväg. Jättekul att se. Mycket bra med hastighet, tid och höjdangivelser. Även om det var en brasklapp om att hastigheten inte riktigt stämmer - oklart om det handlar om någon km felmarginal eller helt fel. Men, förklara gärna varför redigering med annat ljud - med skarvdunk, osynkade inbromsningar, konstiga stationsutrop och omotiverade loksignaler. Det är faktiskt riktigt trist när upplägget för övrigt är så ambitiöst. Jag löste det genom attest enkelt stänga av ljudet. 😉

And here is the Sweden you don't expect! What to say... every word would be superfluous! We start from Stockholm and run at full speed to Sodertalje and then to Eskilstuna in the middle of the woods! This first Swedish part is beautiful! Regular traffic with the services of Lake Malaren, with many Stadler Kiss and even an SJ X 2000, the fastest train! Maybe they could let you get on the one from Stockholm to Gothenburg! You'll see and think about it in the future! Up to Arboga the journey was very quick! After that it was a bit more boring! I didn't know these small regional lines! I know the Norwegian railways better! Nice route anyway!
