Hi Soninke, I'm new in the hood 🤠. Well, your video, the name "In Wilder Places" and what you write about "wild is a state of mind" rings a loud bell in my head, or better in my soul. I feel similar. Thank you for this inspiring video, I'm looking forward to see more. We are based in Switzerland as well, but our hearts are often at other places, like Alaska or my wife's heart especially in Norway. Hello from a wild heart

@@TheLensSchwendi That sounds like a wonderful place to live. I am from South Africa and moved to Switzerland two years ago. Hiking was part of how I explored the country and began not feel at home 😋

@@InWilderPlaces A really, wow! My father was working in South Africa for a few years, when I was a small boy, but I never was there yet. Yeah, in hiking is an excellent way of "feeling" a country. I dream of making some longer hikes alone in Alaska one day...

Buns - skoleboller, come in a prepackaged plastic bag with 2 buns in it in a normal grocery store or you can grab a single bun if in some stores with a baked section. Totally not unusual to eat more than 1 bun, especially scones, maybe cinnamon rolls and skoleboller is normal to eat just one since it is less healthy so it is like a treat? I don't know i just eat what i feel like and freshly baked scones with strawberriy jam and creme and some cocoa was definitely a staple during autumn in my home, always ate 2-3 scones then.
@InWilderPlaces Жыл бұрын
That sounds delightful! We can definitely agree on 2-3 skoleboller, especially when they’re fresh out the oven! ☺️

For Norwegian standards that "cabin" is more like a small house with all the commodities like an induction oven, internet and such. Heck, I bet the floor is heated.

When I see Norwegian `` cabins `` on net its always luxure cabins with electricity, toilet, shower, road to the door and so on. So all wievers in the world think that is `` normal `` cabin life in Norway. But I think its very healthy for all people to get into forest. Walk, ski, relax, and so on.......... But all this must be with the comfort of everyday living......... The off grid , small and tiny cabin it all started with decades ago is never seen on net....... I guess owners is ashamed to own such a poor place..... But I am so happy and proud of my little `` poor `` cabin , built by my father 1960. I would not have it another way. And there are hundreds of them in Norway. But you never see them on net.......... But most important. Get into the nature and enjoy wilderness even if your cabin is luxure or poor...... John
