Cabinet Makeover Challenge with Minwax!

Cabinet makeover challenge! ✨
@Minwaxusa (#ad) sent me this plain wood cabinet to transform using their stain-challenge accepted 💪🏼
I decided to incorporate it into our Hacienda laundry room makeover, and take it to the next level with a custom built-in shelf and pole wrap.
I was excited to test out Minwax’s Wood Effects formula, which applies like water and naturally ‘ages’ the wood as it dries. I used red oak for this project, and the Wood Effects completely eliminated the pink tones, giving it a weathered gray look.
For the pole wrap, I lightly sanded after applying Wood Effects and layered on a coat of oil-based stain in Driftwood, which created the perfect warm white oak tone👌🏼
I’m loving the elevated look of the pole wrap and texture it adds to the room, and I’m excited to share the rest of this project with you!
