Love the final cabinets. FYI, Poplar is a hardwood (all deciduous trees are), but it is one of the softest hardwoods. As HGTV starts their article, "Poplar is a hardwood, but it's not very hard." The article then explains that it is mixed in with the pines and hemlocks (softwoods) on the Janka hardness scale. Also poplar is perfect for paint grade cabinets.

I work for a cabinet company over in Ontario Canada. When we put glass in a frame for a door, we silicone it in. As long as whoever does it can lay a nice bead, it gives a much cleaner and more elegant look than some screw on clips or staples. Although if the glass ever needs to be taken out for any reason, that can be tricky and messy.

it truly is absolutely amazing how working alone can cause a person to go astray. I think sometimes I have spend so much time on supporting and positioning an item, that I forgot what I actually need to do. also rule of 18 ga nails - only those that you need to remove hold well😊😊
