I can't thank you enough! I was cracking my head and only because you talked about the USB cable I plugged it on... Also my monitor only connected with the cables provided from factory

Am I correct in seeing that the SW271 does not offer m-book display mode? If not, how would I calibrate to match my MacBook Pro 16" display so that I match when on the road and back in the office?

I have a Ben-Q SW 240 or is it the same for the SW271? Do you have a video on how to set it up and Calibrate the monitor as I am using it for photography? I am using a 14-inch MacBook Pro 2021. Thanks

Specify! Do I need to connect the Display port cable directly to the video card or to the motherboard (I only have a Display port on the video card) that supports 10 bit? Does lt support HDMI 2.0 10 bit? Do I need to connect the USB cable in parallel with the video cable? Thank you!

You'd typically connect to the video card, which will be better than the on-board video. You need Video (DP in your case) data (USB) and power all plugged in.

I'm having problems to calibrate my monitor using the palette master elements. The cables that I used to connect my BenQ SW271 is the Display Port and the USB-C , but l omitted the USB. Which ones do you exactly use ? Thank you!

Hi Softiedaisy, Before running Calibration: •Set default setting on the Menu setting from the Monitors OSD setting. •Also when profiling use the large matrix, this will take longer but it will give you a better outcome. •Use DP only (Display port) when calibrating. Please make sure that a standard USB cable is connected from the PC to the PC IN port at the back of the monitor, not the USB type C.

I have the SW271 and I can't seem to get a USB-C to USB-C cable that's longer than 1 meter which will work, what specification do I need and can you recommend a specific cable please. You might want to feed back to your development team that the cable provided is too short to even attach the monitor positioned to the left of an iMac. it will only reach if you place the SW271 to the right.

@Jackson Swan I have the same problem. Annoying. Did you find a solution or a cable?

Mr. Jeremy - I bought SW271 just couple of days back and I am pairing it with my MacBook Pro 16in using the BenQ provided USB-C cable. The monitor flickers quite a bit while connecting. And when it does connect, it only displays at 30Hz and not 60Hz. It shows 30Hz both on the BenQ OSD as well as Mac System Report. Please help!

Hi, Could you try Main menu > System menu >USB-C configuration >select UHD@60Hz + USB 2.0 Then disconnect the cable, power cycle the monitor & Mac Book and reconnect the cable. If the issue persists: Please try to change the refresh rate on Mac Book as per below. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Displays. Press and hold the Option key and select the Scaled button. The refresh rate menu appears. Click the Refresh Rate pop-up menu and choose refresh rate as 60Hz.

@@BenQAustraliaOfficial Thank you so much Mr. Jeremy for the assist. I tried but i still face the same problem. But I accidentally noticed that if i use the MacBook in 'Clamshell' Mode - that is with the MacBook lid shut - the BenQ monitor starts operating at 60Hz. But when I have the MacBook display on as well, the BenQ drops down to 30Hz and there is no way to manually change it. Its even more confusing now.. BenQ India tech support is not responding to any of my mails at all :(

Great monitor! The only nitpick I would say is that the Hotkey puck cable could be longer!

Hello. What brand HDMI cable are you using?
@imagescience_au3 жыл бұрын
I generally use HDMI cables from a local supplier - Radio Parts Group.

HI. I just got the SW271. There are a lot of options I can not control via the OSD. Why is that? The monitor is connected via HDMI to the GPU.
@BenQAustraliaOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Hi Axel, The OSD control may be locked. To unlock the OSD control when it is preset to be locked, press and hold any key for 10 seconds.
@MrExel474 жыл бұрын
@@BenQAustraliaOfficial The OSD is definately not locked. If I select 8 bpc in the menu of my NVIDIA G-Force GTX 1060, the OSD works when set to YcbCr422 or 420. But not with RGB or YCbCr444. With 10 bcp it dosen´t work at all, but I want to use 10 bpc, 60 Hz and YCbCr444. Is there any solution to this?

Has anyone tried to connect this monitor to a Lenovo Y70 touch ? Not even one of the cables that came with the monitor worked and my only solution is to find a good hdmi (or buy another computer??) ... very very frustrating.

My SW271 wont read the SD card..am I doing something wrong?
@imagescience_au3 жыл бұрын
Most likely you don't have the USB cable plugged in (you need a video connection, a data (USB) connection, and a power connection. If using USB-C, it handles both video and data)

Has anyone experienced different colors when using different cables ? I am using Mac mini m1 and colors from hdmi cable are completely washed out compared to USB c
@zanotron3 жыл бұрын
I'm looking into this also. I just came from another of Benq's vids where the guys says that HDMI cables limit colour throughput. So not good for pro editing or achieving true potential of a colour accurate monitor. Display port and USB-C are better apparently.
@speedmatters4 жыл бұрын
Just bought this monitor and I was disappointed to find that you don't include a display port to display port cable, rather a mini display port to display port... Yet there is no mini display port on the monitor itself. So, out of the box, us PC owners have to use HDMI. 🙄

I KNOW. I just bought this monitor and was extremely frustrated with this. I shouldn't have to rush to the store after getting a new monitor.

lol., same problem.. kinda pissed me off. I needed D-port large connector on both ends. The USB-C on my Thunderport (Dell 2N1) laptop can do 10-bit HDR, but if I enable HDR from the HDMI, it blacks out the screens and makes windows go nuts.
