@@Jennifer-gr7hn I saw the movie on Friday, the audience applauded at the end but I was disappointed. Jesus/God was only mentioned 3 times throughout the 3 hour long movie, the first time being an hour and 3 minutes in. The Catholic Church was not depicted well, and the main theme was her tenacious fundraising "ambition". I don't feel she would be pleased 😞

Last line in the movie is Cabrini saying, "Men could never do what we do".. she would simply never have said that 😔 And this was after taking a swig with the Mayor of New York 💔

saw it this afternoon in scranton, pa. it was absolutely fantastic. much beter than i expected. all the actors were phenomenal. john lithgow was great as the mayor of new york. one of the best films ive seen in a very long time

I don't know if legendary cinematographer Caleb Deschanel intends to return for the proposed sequel "The Resurrection of the Christ" - but I would have to think Mel Gibson must be seriously looking at Gorka Gomez Andreu's stunning oeuvre at this point as a potential cinematic partner, as well as the now globally established Angel Studio's distribution as the obvious avenue for boldly nurturing its eventual release.

If the Sound of Freedom international roll-out model proves viably lucrative, then I would bet absolutely yes. But that's just an educated guess on my part. A worldwide release around Easter season. If it makes enough cents, it makes enough sense - that's just wise for a business who also happens to be valiantly forging a new independent alternative to the status quo which I'm more than glad see prosper.

I so hope they didn't just show her NYC mission. She traveled to Colorado and bought land for an orphanage and school. That is where God performed a miracle for the Sisters in Evergreen CO. Today the Shrine has a high statute of Jesus on the mountain, that all can see as they drive from Denver to the ski mountains. There she ministered to the miners and families of the Colorado silver and gold mines.

Catholics are part of the rich tapestry of Christianity. It's perfectly fine to watch a film about a Catholic lady's contribution to the faith and impact on the world - just as it would be fine to watch a film about a Protestant or Orthodox Christian's contribution to the world. We need more films like this, which Hollywood would never make.

And don't get me wrong, I invested in Sound Of Freedom, I agree that if a film is pushing for something majorly good, well, it's at least better than a lot of the other films coming out, but this film seems like a mix of Catholicism and feminism, both of which I find cringe in some way. Dark large outfits, Idk I just get weird vibes.
