Thanks for the ride. From what were foggy weather conditions in the beginning, to absolutely clear sunny conditions at the end, one would tend to think that the weather conditions in the Netherlands would be quite unpredictable. Ah, I could breathe in all the vitamin d absorbed from all that yummy sunshine at the end🌞🌞🌞. I actually I was there, you know!! 😊😊😊

It seems more activity in an area reduces the fog level. Zwolle appears to be a large city. The cars, trams, and trains driving around burned the fog off. The same was happening the other places the fog thinned. {^_^}

If there is a more dense fog, can you see the green/red signs on time? Or is the top speed lowered in that case? And do the train drivers give that message to the traffic control or is there an automated fog measurement and signaling between the overhead portals like at some highways?

The signals only need to be seen. It's not like the US where I believe you have to be down to speed before passing it. Regardless there is in cab ATB signaling that takes care of the important 90% of the speed signs. And the drivers KNOW the region through which they are driving. They know what the sign says even if all they see is a blur. The three levels of safety do the trick. What they don't do is handle a herd of deer on the tracks. That can get messy. {^_^}

@5K Cabview Holland Dutch Railways dit is weer een keileuke video van Groningen naar Zwolle ik herkende in de video van Eindhoven Centraal naar Venlo alle tussengelegeb stations en hier alleen wat grotere stations omdat ik nooit in zwolle geweest ben

The fastest speed on the Dutch "conventional" network is 140 kph due to the signaling system. Though on the high speed line (Amsterdam - Rotterdam - Breda), trains can get up to 300 kph since ERTMS signaling is used there.

53:40 Vind je het ook niet gek dat er meerdere rivieren zijn die een zelfde naam hebben? Toen ik als kind in Ommen op vakantie was zei mijn vader dat hij ging vissen in de Vecht hij vertelde me er wel bij dat dit een andere is dan die ik kende. Intussen is er al draad getrokken in de dive-under en op het gedeelte eroverheen. Je kan een mooie blik werpen op de plek waar straks een tijdelijke overweg komt in de bocht naar Dalfsen. Ik weet dat een machinist is die daar helemaal niet blij mee is en geef hem ongelijk want die overweg zit in een bocht en precies na de uitgang van de tunnel. Het is gelukkig maar tijdelijk.

@@chektor Ah bedoel je dat! Dat is de bovenleidingspanning X10, dus 1800V. De rechter meter is de batterijspanning, die is 110V ofzo. Wat elke afzonderlijke batterij is weet ik niet, ik zal eens een multimetertje meenemen..
