I so enjoyed this trip, thank you so much. I lived in Amersfoort as a small child before the family went to New Zealand, and my older brothers would take me to watch the stoom loks from the Bokeduinen. I think my love of trains was born there. I was actually born near Watergraafsmeer so you went right past that too! I stopped the video often to check google maps. Thanks for posting. @@CabviewHolland Yes it was a long time ago! Don’t remember much. If you looked right at 5:30 on your video our house was 300 m or so from the Soesterweg crossing. My brothers told me we used to stand on a bridge and have the steam come over us. Fun heh!

@@CabviewHolland I take my Maxwell Smart serious. He is just as good as "whats his name". I Love the video's especially the stretch between Leiden and Den Haag. I lived in Voorschoten until 1971 and my friends and I used to play and fish in those pastures and the tracks which are now full of houses and buildings.

If you ever get to do a run to Venlo, would love to see it. Family are from there and have also been over to visit. Visited for the first time back in 1989, where I first fell in love with the trains of NS. And my love of train modeling came from. My HO layout is mainly Dutch, I have a ICM, VIRM and the old DDZs any locos before they were converted to the new DDZMs I think they are now called. But a cab ride to Venlo in a ICM would be a dream for me 😀😀😀😀😀

Another great video. Appreciated the look inside the train. First time for me inside I think. First-class spared of graffiti inside?? Saw the widening work before Hilversen that was not named but I figured it out. Like to know where the lines were going off to after Nard Bussum (pardon my spelling.) are there major rail maps for Holland with detail of more of the lines? This was a familiar line for me I know the control centre is on the other side of Amsterdam Centraal from when we came in. I am told this engine is very comfortable for the drivers? A favourite train for the drivers I think?

Is a interesting train, the elevated cab is like that of a plane. Unfortunately, the graffiti are in the entrance atriums. Reminds me of the trips I had on the Rome (Italy) urban trains.

@@CabviewHolland Oh, That is qite smart. I know that in czechia where I live, there is one ttrain which has this also, but they fixed it using really small drivers cabin just on one side of train. This must be much more comfortable for driver. Really smart solution!

This is the upgraded version tho. Once upon a time the cab door was where the stair case started and you could walk through the nose to the next half of the train. The drive cab sat over the top of the walk way.

Misschien eentje die naar Eindhoven of Maastricht ging voor onderhoud? Volgens mij wordt op een van die locaties onderhoud gedaan voor de NSI 1700en en TRAXXen. Maar dan rijden ze meestal via Maarssen dacht ik dus ik kan het fout hebben.

Mooie video weer. Jammer van de graffiti/vandalisme in het interieur zie o.a. 1:19 . Zonde en zinloos. Geeft een heel belabberde sfeer. Alsof je in een achterbuurt bent beland. Helpen camera's niets om de pakkans te vergroten? Het uitschot wat dit doet verdient een levenslang openbaarvervoerverbod plus schadevergoeding voor het hele interieur en exterieur.

Ik denk niet dat het verbieden van criminelen uit het openbaar vervoer de beste manier is om dit soort problemen aan te pakken. Een ruime meerderheid van vandalisme en graffiti is afkomstig van achtergestelde achtergronden. Mensen met een dergelijke achtergrond hebben het openbaar vervoer nodig om te kunnen functioneren. De beste manier om graffiti af te weren, is door de creativiteit van de persoon te kanaliseren, maar door kunststudio's te ondersteunen en ze hun eigen ruimte te geven. Naast het taggen, moeten ze op de een of andere manier worden herkend; het is een ego-ding. :)

Mag ik ook vragen? heeft u (als Nederlander) een toename van graffiti opgemerkt sinds het begin van de covid-crisis? Ik kom niet uit Nederland, ik kom uit Schotland, en ik heb zeker een toename opgemerkt, maar veel ervan is "gechanneld" door autoriteiten, zodat graffitikunstenaars en taggers alleen in bepaalde gebieden stukken overgeven. weet je, om het te beheersen. :)

It is so sad to see that such beautiful trains are marked up with graffiti by barbarians. It is the barbarians amongst us why we can't have nice things. Barbarians are usually under achieving morons whose only legacy will be some horrible marks on a wall. Very sad reflection on how people are educated to not respect public property; likely from listening to chimp hybrids from Africa singing some sort of crap with a beat.
