It's very interesting that this song brings great memories watching Adult Swim through the mid-late 2000's. Adult Swim actually still uses this song on certain occasions in their bumpers, even though this song grew on me through out the years waiting to watch Family Guy before going to bed. Too bad they don't show the programming schedule with this song playing anymore. There is a Submix version of Mandeer out there which was used one time in late 2003 for a Futurama bumper. When Adult Swim started using Mandeer back in May 2003 for the programming schedule bumpers it actually gained so much popularity that it could've received some type of radio airplay on a Top40 station and/or it made its way on the 2003 Billboard charts if they released as a single, it's still one of the iconic songs used by Adult Swim.

No. You don't turn the TV on. The TV was on the whole time. You fell asleep watching something else. You wake up at 4 AM in a cold sweat all the same. But with the glow of the TV lighting the room and this song being the only constant sound beyond maybe the wind outside. It's partially soothing yet also it somehow makes you anxious. You go to the bathroom and get a drink of water then head back to your bed. You try to go back to sleep but you aren't sure if you'd feel better with the TV on or off. You finally decide to turn the volume down to about 2 or 3 and turn your back to the TV and sleep again.

As your vision corrects itself, you realize adult swim is still on. You feel almost too paralyzed to move from where you sit. What lurks outside of the comforting light of the television and soft couch cushions? Well, you were too glued to the TV to find out that night, so who's to say?

This song playing after family guy had finished and the next show was Robot Chicken. Followed by Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Then the Oblongs. Finally Tim and Erics Awsome Show! These shows I shared watching with my brothers and my mom late night, especially when my step-dad would take off to work and be gone all night so we stay up. The lights off except for the kitchen counter light that barely dimmed the living room too. Crazy what nostalgia does to you.. I remember it like it was yesterday...
