In death compensation is 50% of wage or Rs. One lakh twenty thousand and in case of permanent total disablement is Rs. one lakh forty thousand. It can be corrected in the video. Also funeral expenses are Rs. five thousand.

Very helpful, informative, accurate and nice video sir, just a clerical error, list of employees is in Schedule II and not in Sch III, may pls check at 18:45 mins in your video heading.

The amount minimum compensation is actually 1,20,000 and 1,40,000 by the 2009 amendment and funeral expenses are 5000 now

Need clarification on the logic mentioned on "In this case , for payment of compensation it is not necessary that the accident occurred at the place where the employee was performing his duties." Physically employee should be present at the place of accident where he suffered with injury. Please help to explain the statement mentioned.

An employee dies due to road accident (vehicle accident ) while coming for duty. Nature of work is shift duties in a factory and accident has not accured at work place during working period. Is employee liable for compensation. Is this case comes under during course of employment.

Sir kindly reply An electrician reached his working place at 8:30 am for 9 am to 5 pm shift. There he met an accident and lost his life as a result thereof. The department is not ready to acknowledge his widow's claim for compensation on the plea that accident did not take place within the duty hours. Kindly comment in the light of employees compensation act 1923.
