Spring training is an absolute treat to watch, it's like a baseball vacation. Some might think that exhibition baseball is rather boring, but I find it more relaxing than anything. There's nothing like sitting on the grassy berms in the warm Arizona sun in early March and watching your favorite team's stars, and up and coming youngsters fight for a spot on the roster. Every baseball fan should go some time.

Of the ones I've been to, my favorite is Salt River Field and their concessions were great. I got the best ballpark Pizza, I've ever gotten. The nice thing about Spring Training is that you don't have to spend a fortune to have a good time, my suggestion is to visit the parks and go to the practice fields early in the morning and you can get up close to the players and then maybe see a game or two just for the actual game experience.

Salt River Fields is baseball heaven for me. I got to watch guys like Ketel Marte, Corbin Carroll, Alek Thomas, Gabby Moreno, Zac Gallen, and so many young stars in this league make there debuts there. One of my favorite places to be on the planet.

Can you do a World Baseball Classic 2023 video? It is coming up shortly and is only a few stadiums (maybe include the qualification stadiums that were used too). I would also love a stadiums of Buenos Aires (metro) too! There are well over 60! (Mostly soccer/football but also basketball, rugby, field hockey, polo and even, bizarrely, a baseball stadium too).

I lived in Tucson from 1998-2001 and at that time there were 2 spring training venues. One was Tucson Electric Park where the White Sox and Diamondbacks used for spring training and Hi-Corbett Field used by the Rockies(this is the venue used by the Indians in Major League). Sad there's no more spring training in Tucson.

I agree with your choice of Salt River Fields, but otherwise, it's quite obvious you have never been here, or maybe you have just never watched a game here, or both. For the record, you can see Red Mountain clearly on most days, off in the distance over the center field wall at Sloan Park. The ballpark was designed to resemble Wrigley Field in some ways. Shade is also a huge issue out here, with temps hitting the 80s regularly in March. Sloan Park was designed with shade in mind and Hohokam has a lot of shade. Overall, this area has made a huge investment in the Cactus League as a tourism venue, as demonstrated by these wonderful ballparks. They all are within an hour of each other, a major advantage for the teams and fans alike.

The locals and frankly, the fans are still stymied as to why the Milwaukee Brewers decided to dump $60m into a stadium that located in a horrible part of Phoenix, Maryvale, which is also known as Scaryvale. Which is why there are rarely any night games. One needs a Bearcat just to get out of the neighborhood. My favorite is Camelback and God help me, coming the top three is also Sloan Park. Beautiful parks and great places to watch and enjoy how baseball was really meant to be done. Sadly, the league is quickly ruining spring training with ticket prices actually going for far more than regular season games. But...people are paying these absurd prices.
