After putting a few hours into the brilliant Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 gameplay for the PS4, and then writing a very brief Pro Skater 1+2 review without any walkthrough because he’s selfish, Caddy decided to go back to his shelves and revisit all the skating games he used to love as a teenager - and not just for great soundtrack after great soundtrack. Tony Hawk OST man, you can’t beat em. After getting nostalgic about Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 Remix PSP and Tony Hawk’s American Sk8land DS, or is it American Skateland DS? Why wasn’t it called American Wasteland DS? Anyway - he decided to then gather up all his funds and play through 30 odd skateboard games in order to make yet another ridiculously long video review, covering everything from Atari 2600 to Steam and PC. AVGN LJN. So many letters. I may not be an Angry Video Game Nerd, but I now know how to trash bad NES games - so who knows what the future will bring? OH - I also take a quick look at Steam for a Skater XL review and Session review for PC, featuring Skater XL gameplay and Session gameplay. One is early access, and the other I think is on PS4 as well as PC and Steam. These descriptions are as long as my videos now. OH I ALSO FORGOT - Pro Skater is also known as Tony Hawk’s Skateboarding in the UK and Europe, I think. Tony Hawk’s Skateboarding gameplay - that’s what we’ve got. It’s a boring and stupid name. Tony Hawk’s Skateboarding PS1. Say it more and realize how dumb we were. What was so wrong with Pro Skater?

Fun fact about Tony Hawk's Proskater 5: it was Made entirely to be able to hold onto the rights in so little time that Most of the Game was simply unable to be put onto the disc to have it be printed in time, Hence the massive Patch. The kinect is probably failing _because_ of the sun, the kinect projects a pattern of infrared to detect where you are and the sun overpowers that pattern rendering it rather useless.

@@roboticshaft1340 yeah lol in this particular instance the Kinect was probably justified There’s something to say about Microsoft not correctly communicating how to troubleshoot the device tho, not everyone is familiar with the ins and outs of their gear and it’s pretty easy to make the assumption “oh it needs to see me so sunlight is good cause it makes everything bright” But sometimes the Kinect just fucks up, like when the game will show a perfectly accurate representation of your skeleton and still fail to recognize what you’re doing lol I mean at that point it’s a toss up between it being the Kinect’s or the game’s fault, but it’s kind of irrelevant at that point. Also it’s funny Caddy mentions Kinect Adventures and Sports are the only ones that work all the time because I remember it was shown that they basically played themselves lol There was this article about a guy playing Kinect Joyride by staying perfectly still and his car in game was steering and doing stunts all on its own and it was absolutely hysterical

I kept wondering the same thing...not just the lack of space, but more so the immense sunlight completely ruining any chance of the Kinect working _properly_ ._. some overhead lighting (or at least strategically placed lamps) and blackout curtains to keep the excessive sunlight out would probably do it...or maybe just recording around noon instead of early morning (so the sun would be more neutral/in the middle instead of east/west biased- I mean, it looked like early-ish morning/around sunrise in that clip, anyway) ...then again, my only first-hand experience with Kinect was at a friend's place with a couple of games he had/rented (Family Video was still a thing at the time, even though Blockbuster was on it's way out) and it worked _reasonably_ well- but that was in a basement bedroom with the only natural light coming from a tiny 8" tall (give or take) window, heh Of course, the bit with "What? The room is too dark? I HAVE THE SUN--" just makes that point even worse lol
