I quite liked it, but not for the party aspect. It had this...odd sense of economy to it? Like, you could purposefully delay the completion of objectives to buy cosmetic items in betting screens. By the time I was done with my first playthrough, it felt like it was less about the games and winning them and more about how rich I got and how I dressed up my character. It was also quite hillarious to just, trap CPUs in a dangerous area and watch them go into debt for several rounds. Then you could waltz through the rest of the game at a leisurely pace, knowing that no matter what they could do, you could never lose. Suprisingly satisfying in a power fantasy sorta way. I could count the number of times I've felt such freedom in a game on one hand.

About the Sonic Boom thing: the footage seems to imply that the Enerbeam was a new ability with no context given, but that's actually not true. Tails made the Enerbeams by reverse-engineering the shackles that the main characters were restrained in. I believe the game says this as well.

The major complaint I see with Mind over Mutant that makes people say it’s worse than Titans is the way they handled an open-world approach. There’s a lot of backtracking in that game where you go through the same platforming challenges again and again to get to your required destination. Great video though!
