Tyler Perry might make goofy dramas, but he definitely understands human interactions and relationships. Neil Breen seems like he doesn't understand anything about what living life as a human being. I think people feel so awkward around him, his own actors forget what it's like being human, too, so everyone in the movie acts and speaks abnormally.

You can clearly see each of their faces under the masks. Also nobody points out how when they mime in the car, none of them are banging on the "windows" to get help.
