You're better off going under the dash and replace the wires with a resistor that matches the key and done

I disagree. I prefer the longer, more detailed videos for these tutorials. The gentleman took the time to explain it with detail and tact, and it was simple enough for a normal average DIYer such as myself to follow. Folks who don’t need the extraneous information can fast forward or go premium and play the video in faster playback mode. When I’m in a rush, I go that route Thank you to the video maker for your effort in making a solid how-to on this topic. Much appreciated.

Better yet, determine the resistance of your key then solder in the correct amount of resistance between your wires rather than some jury rigged key with tape. That will be a permanent solution. It just but the already assembled correct resistance bypass online.
