working on a 07 that i picked up and there is a double hard metal line blocking the top right bell housing bolt looked into this video for that but i must of missed it. all data says to pull upper and lower intake to get the thermostat housing off. did you have to do that on this car.

Why oh why would Cadillac not put a dipstick for the transmission like every other vehicle it would make it so much easier for me to service it myself. It's the only thing that I hate about my 2009 Cadillac SRX

Probably to keep people coming to the dealer. I agree it does make it a pain in the butt. If you can lift the car with ramps, a jack, and some jack stands, make sure its level. You can make it work. Not easy easy as pulling a dipstick but you can for sure 😉

I have been driving my for God knows how long I can't check my transmission oil or change it. I don't know if I can use any transmission oil for it

How did you get the torque converter bolts out

I start the process at 21 minutes 54 seconds. You have to remove exhaust and starter

I have a 2008 srx there’s a small vent tube is that coming from the transmission or the firewall does it supposed to have a vent cap

Is it hanging down and you're seeing one end? You can try to follow it woth your hand. There is usually a vent on the top of trans and transfer case. Some have caps that can still breathe, usually with a + style shaft. I hope that helps!

I have a 2005 srx v8 awd and I just lost 4th and 5th gear. Is it worth fixing? Is this the same process To fix the 4th&5th solenoids? Or Will a flush work?

It's usually unlikely that a flush will work but you could try. I mean it may be solenoids but I can't tell from here. Have someone who knows what they're doing check it out so you don't waste any money. If the car is in good condition it's worth fixing but that's up to you.
