Thanks! I also found out that if I do not want to delete objects on a layer, I can just merge it into another. Then you keep your elements in the drawing, and the annoying layer is gone! Super helpful.

Great short video! I've used this command before and it's PERFECT por purging my CAD files. I just have one question. For a unkown reason, the white dialog box that pop ups after typing "N", won't appear anymore and idk why.. Any ideas? (I've tried using the FILEDIA command but didn't work).

Another helpful video, Thanks Brandon. I am a subscriber and I have a Question: How do you delete unwanted line types. I've got dozens of unwanted line type in my drawings and I don't know where they came from but I do know I want them gone. Any ideas?
@Cadintentions4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Not 100% sure where they would of come from, my first guess would be from a block or reference that was inserted into your drawing. If the linetypes aren't used you should be able to get them cleaned up using the purge command. I touch on it in this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5y4mX5-hpKraMU

So somebody else added a layer to my drawing - I have deleted all objects on the layer. Regular delete says there are some things with the layer still in it - so I'm assuming a block somewhere has this layer. How do I find the block(s) which has(have) this layer in it? I don't want to LAYDEL the layer, because what if it removes a block that I do not want to delete? I won't be able to see the block disappear among the large amount of things on the drawing, so it's not really a good outcome.

thank you so much, it took me a lot of hours to find what line did i made in that unnecessary layers but still i couldn't fix it. huhhuhuhu life saver
@sultanaanjum73973 жыл бұрын
Hi Brandon, I'm wondering if there's a way to disassociate blocks from a layer? Ex. If I've made all electrical blocks under Layer 1, but then wanted to go back and change these blocks into specific layers that individualize them- is there a way to do this? I've tried and it says the layer has changed, but the color won't change because it's still associated with the layer I assigned it to in the first place.

Interesting content here. Has the covid pandemic affected your amount of projects or workload? Are u staying busy there with projects other than your YT channel? Has the drafting industry there suffered a lot of layoffs at all?
@Cadintentions4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! The pandemic has definitely affected projects here, my workload has remained pretty steady but some friends and collegues have been affected more. Many projects have been paused/postponed etc.. There have certainly been some layoffs, but not too many in drafting/design in my area, luckily a lot of our work can be continued leading up to construction and can be done at home for the most part. I've kept busy with side projects as well and working on the YT channel, the blog, as well as producing my newest course/webinar ( bit.ly/3gEUWNu ) Thanks again for watching and the great comment! How has the pandemic been affecting where you are? Where abouts are you located? Cheers, Brandon
