Indeed, the Cadison at 42mm is a bit large and bulky demanding a larger wrist but it wears well regardless. It is visually stunning despite brushing angles and finish. However, my hat is off to the Pagani folks, who continually produce high quality for the money in ALL of their models. Each of these pieces deserves consideration. I have the Cadison. I plan on acquiring the Pagani Design soon.

I love the Cadisen for that rich blue dial ...... I like the way the dial goes dark blue in sombre interior light making the hands stand out .......I also prefer the octagonal bezel give a real port hole look ........ however, the vertical brushing on the case sides was too brutal for me and I refinished it to a polished surface ......... also rounded the bracelet topsides to avoid those sharp edges ...... now I just love it ....... that rich dial makes me smile !!

great video and a needed comparison, but there are a few things that you can do to slightly improve it, first of all compare the watches completely like when you measured the thickness of the bracelet in the cadisen but you didnt measure the thickness of the pagani, and one more thing is that if you start the comparison with the cadisen then it's easier for us to follow along if all the comparisons in the video are like that, instead of comparing cadisen-pagani then pagani-cadisen in that order. other than that the video was very good, thank you for the comparison!

Great comparison! Myself, I like the design on the Cadisen, but the size on the Pagani.. speaking of which.. Do you think the Pagani would be suitable for dial modding? I think a Royal Oak hommage can really be made 'your own' with a custom dial. Do you happen to know the dial size on the watch? I have a snowflake Lucius Atelier lying around and think it would suit the Pagani just beautifully. A white dial Royal Oak is simply stunning!

I'm waiting for my Pagani to be delivered, I already have the Didun Royal One which is a great homage to the Royal Oak but it's just too big for my 16.5cm wrist, so I have high hopes for the Pagani; fingers crossed that mine doesn't have the bezel brushing issue? Great comparison, vids like this are quality content. I don't know the dimensions on the original Genta design, but for me 42mm on a classic 70s design icon like this is far too big. And the L2L size (or what one would call it here) will of course be horrendous with this bracelet construction. The Royal Oak was a unique design with the contemporary modest dimensions incorporated in mind, and doing a homage and blowing up the size makes no sense and ruins the original concept. The Pagani has far better proportions in that matter, which got typically obvious when you showed a pic of the green dialed AP with that smaller nice dial dimension. Sure, I have a small wrist hence preferring more modest sizes, but it's also about proportions and ratios when it comes to design and aesthetics which is often forgotten. I love i.e. my 42-43mm Seiko divers/chronographs, but those works brilliantly in those dimensions since they were originally designed that way and with really short L2L measurements. As an owner of two Cadisens which are great watches esp. for the price (and I prefer the blue dial colour of the Cadisen here, and it's way better transition from case to bracelet), I'd still totally go for the Pagani here for several reasons. Btw, didn't Pagani have a grey dial as an option? I think I'd go for that, wasn't so fond of this light blue one.
@Horologique3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much 😊. The original APRO from 1972 was 37mm, and I believe that's the right size for these kind of watches. Later on in more modern days AP builds several case sizes, I believe on the classic RO for men they go from 37 to 41, the RO Off Shore being much larger. As for these 2 there is no grey dial option that I know of, there's this blue, black and white. I was at first going for the latter, but I then decided to go for the more classic blue one

Wow I cant believe Luxury Watch brands such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet Patek and many more allowing these china watch micro brands to use their designs just to sell china made watches to public! this is so unfair to the big brands name.
@Horologique3 жыл бұрын
You may be surprised but the first to copy these designs weren't the Chinese but the Swiss themselves. Companies like Squale and then Steinhart (both Swiss) make almost 1 to 1 copies of the Submariner and the GMT master, brand them Swiss made and put their logos onto them. A watch design is a patent that expires after 30 years, then everyone can copy it. It might be unfair to the original designer but that's the way legislation is at this time.
@mayveltoress65463 жыл бұрын
@@Horologique yes, by my point is that, why they need to copy the iconic designs of the big brands such as Rolex, AP, Patek etc. why not construct their own design and market it.
@andrewk19163 жыл бұрын
@@mayveltoress6546 The point that you may not realize -the legal coping of a classical design is easy money for a watch maker. Genta designs, as well as Rolex, are classics because the looks and specifications are nearly perfect and inspired which helps keep them hugely popular ($30,000+ USD is massively popular for a watch design, i.e. Royal Oak, that's 50 years old). Therefore, why re-invent the wheel when you can legally make a copy of a classic design and then sell at a fraction (or less) of the price and make a profit? Makes perfect sense for a business. Plus, there's are large part of the world's population that has no stigmas about an homage watch. That makes for a very compelling business opportunity.
