This is great I played the crap out of this game! I also played Caesar IV, I liked how the plebs and patricians were entirely separate groups it made it easier to manage your labour force, and the trade routes got their own dedicated spot to buy and sell their goods from, but other than that, Caesar III is rock solid and still a really enjoyable game! I wonder did you ever get your hands on Hinterland before Tilted Mill got dissolved into the Sierra / Activision goo? Anyway, thanks for the great vid!

Am not comfortable with you calling roman citizens "plebs", sounds demeaning.

The plebeians were the commoners in the Roman system - the fact that it is used as an insult now reflects that they were the lowest class.
