In New Orleans, many people grow up eating beignets. And if they aren't enjoying them at home, they're likely heading to Café du Monde in the French Quarter for a fresh plate served hot from the fryer. The café is the indisputable source of NOLA's most famous beignets, which, after more than a century, remain the only food item you can order off the menu.

The last girl is spot on. Even if you don't like beignets, you have to hit up Café du Mondé just for the tradition. Cool joint.

My guess is that she doesn't even like it, there's no evidence of her even ordering them. Although I can imagine her ordering one beignet without powdered sugar on top of it. Or maybe with less powdered sugar.

Well... we mostly walked around the French Quarter. It’s old. Reminds me of parts of Mexico or what I imagine parts or Europe look like. The streets are narrow and the buildings aren’t tall necessarily, maybe only a few stories, but they are built close together and are deep rather than wide. The streets are dirty and full of people but there’s a lot of charm. Everyone is respectful and there is a lot to do. You can easily get lost walking for hours through the streets, but you don’t mind as there’s always something fascinating to capture your attention. And of course... the beignets!
