Seeing this project, my first thought was that there is a guy in Portugal who get itchy fingers to redo his own CX. I just love this appearance, airplane lights give special tone to it and all tech solutions really look good. Very good decision from your part to present it. Thank you.

Superb ❤ the ‘plastic maggots’ have always been the subject of biker’s jokes. They were the go to workhorse of many UK despatch riders in the 80’s though! They weren’t the only Japanese bikes that were hinged in the middle. 😊 I also had a dream to build a CX 650 in a cafe racer style as it had a superb engine! Sadly I’m too old to do it now but I’m glad to see that someone else has done it. Well done. A friend of mine turned a Moto Guzzi engine 90 degrees and put it on a Triumph gearbox. I have a picture of it ❤

It looks like a nice simple Café Racer except the off road wheels and the mosquito style headlights . I don't think the wheels and headlights match the overall look of this bike , its different and maybe that's the point lol . As usual thanks for showing it to us boss .😃✌

Hi. Thank you my friend for your support. I know off-road tyres look weird on a cafe racer. But if I lived on a region, with miles and miles of dust roads, this project would be perfect. But according to Craig, this bike maneuvers very well on any type of road, and the riding position is perfect for any type of terrain.:) Cheers

Hmm!! Interesting bike! Is it a Cafe Racer?? Is it a Survival Bike?? Is it something else?? There are things about it I love, and things that I don't. The headlights are cool, not the "Classic" way to do them but novel and smart! The tail is nicely done as is the monoshock. The wheels are nicely matched (even if the welds need smoothing out a bit more)! As I have mentioned before I'm not a fan of off-road tyres on racer bikes, BUT (I hate to say it) they do work on this bike. The clear perspex sections on the front of the radiator to duct more air flow do look good and serve a good purpose, and tucking the battery way down low is a simple idea as "it's GOT to go SOMEWHERE!!" As you showed all of the "lines' match up perfectly, however I feel the ground clearence is a bit high for my liking. Over all it's an interesting bike, but as pure Cafe Racer ... the jury is out trying to decide ... unless the cafes are at the opposite ends of a dirt road, then maybe! And Yes, as always, I will see you on the next video. L&R From Down Under. Andrew

In US,espiacially in Texas is so much more possible as in Europe! We have a bunch of useless registriction. Germany is an example for unfree vehicle building. Even Turnsignals are prohibited without an E-Number. Or Brake and Clutchlevers,and Footrests.. An now:older Bikes are illegal if you use the wrong tires. It means,we used a certificate from the Tire-manufacturer that prooves you right in use of tires. Now,you have to erase the tire brand and size out of your title. It‘s crazy,because the costs means about 200€ for that!

I don't know how customization rules work on the US. But like you said, here in Europe, you can tell that rulers know nothing about motorcycles. Fortunately here in Portugal things are relatively good. Especially now, that the new government has cancelled the law that required all motorbikes to undergo an annual inspection. According to the European Union, the annual inspections were intended to reduce motorcycle accidents. One of the most stupid conclusions I've ever heard. Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, things are more complicated than most people may think. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because I'm Portuguese, and my bad English accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that I like for my videos. I already tried a real British voice in one of my videos, and, surprisingly, almost everyone hated it. Interestingly, since the beginning of this year, I have been using an AI Upgrade on my usual artificial voice, and since then, I have received almost no criticism about the use of artificial voice in my videos.
