Here's What You Should Know Before Playing Pikmin 4 (no spoilers)

Hey Charlie, this was a really well made review of the game. I agree with you that the controls feel a little wonky although I think that's just the downfall to not having the motion controls that Pikmin 1-3 had with the Wii remote. I will say that they actually work a bit better than Pikmin 3's did. Anyways though great video and again thanks for the shout-out hit 600 today!

Pikmin 4 is a great game but in my opinion it’s not the best in the series (the best is pikmin 3). It does a lot right but it also makes a lot of small mistakes and those mistakes pile up overtime. The most annoying thing about this game is that the characters never stop talking. In the beginning of the game the characters never stop talking, but after you get to the second area it basically stops and you can always skip the dialogue which is nice. The problem is that the characters will still talk to you during gameplay and their dialog boxes appear right in the middle of the screen. It’s a very annoying and even during the freaking Final boss it still happens! I looked in the Settings menu to see if there was any way to turn off their commentary and surprise surprise there’s not. I was literally yelling at my TV for the characters to just shut the hell up💀. The same thing would happen in pikmin 3 but the difference there was that the characters would only talk during gameplay every so often, not all the damn time so it was never annoying. I don’t see anyone else complaining about this so it could just be a me thing but it honestly ruins a lot of the game for me. I find it that annoying

I'm honestly not a Pikmin fan I am partly a Zelda fan though and I'm a very big Mario and Pokemon fan playing Ocarina of Time 3D right now

I can't remember which ones specifically, but I did recognize a tune or two buried in some Pikmin 4 songs.

It depends on what you like in a game. I think all of the games are great but I do think some are better than others. Pikmin 1 and 3 have a limited number of days to beat the game. Beating the game within the limit of days isn’t necessarily all that hard but trying to beat it as fast as you can is very fun. In Pikmin 2 and 4 there is no day limit and you have all the time in the world to beat the game so if you get stressed about time limits in games then you might like 2 and 4 more than the others. I like the limited day system so I think pikmin 1 and 3 are better then 2 and 4. If you like pikmin gameplay in general you should like all of the games. I like to start at the first entry in the series and work my way down so personally I would recommend starting with pikmin 1 and working down to 4

Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4 are both great starting points. Pikmin 3 is like a perfected version of Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 4 is like a perfected version of Pikmin 2.

@@chimeratriplett2319 that is very true. It makes me wonder what Pikmin 5 will be. Whether it will be more like pikmin 1 and 3 or 2 and 4. Personally I’m hoping for the former
