@@TreyMessiah95 I think that's very short sighted. Most white Americans know their people come from Italy or Ireland or Poland, and they will acknowledge that over a nonspecific word like "white." Take a DNA ancestry test and learn where your people are from so you can stop the ignorance of "I was born and bred in America." All of your bloodline does not originate here.

Magnificent my friends,this song was released in 1980 and it is played every year around this time.The singer doing the ad lib is the late great Dennis Edwards with the husky rasping voice.That is the man who replaced David Ruffin in 1968,the son a Baptist Minister in North Carolina where he came from.The bass voice is the late Melvin Franklin who apparently had that voice from the time he was 14 years old.The first tenor/falsetto is Glenn Leonard, he was the third singer to fill that spot after Eddie Kendricks left the group in 1971 and Damon Harris left the group in 1975.

Glenn Leonard is often overlooked as a Temp ... but on the strength of this extremely popular classic, he should be given his due props. Richard Street is another long-time Temp who gets forgotten in the story. He sings lead on one of my absolute favorite Temp cuts, "Heavenly," which should have gone much farther on the charts than it did.

I don't even celebrate Christmas, too materialistic for me. But the Spiritual/Christmas songs are some of the most beautiful songs ever written and performed...Silent Night, Oh Holy Night...etc. If you haven't heard the Temptations version of Silent Night you haven't heard Silent Night......Excellent!
