I loved this first podcast. It made me feel like I was listening to a dear friend tell me about her heart. Thank you for being so vulnerable and encouraging. I have fallen “in love” many times in my life, but ended up with the one guy I actually pursued. I was never one to go after someone first since I was afraid of rejection. We hung out every day for nearly 6 months in college until he finally told me he liked me. I felt you when you were talking about the love you had at 22. I had shifted my thinking and told myself that he didn’t like me and I needed to accept him as just a friend. So, by the time he confessed his feelings for me, I couldn’t process it right away. I told him thank you and that I’d pray about it for a couple of weeks. He was dying waiting…and now we’ve been married for 16 years with 3 kids. Anyway, I love your outlook on life and love.

Maddy, I love this podcast so much!! I have a short attention span, so podcasts were never my thing, but I listened so attentively to yours. It's feels like I'm having a conversation with an older sister or a best friend. I enjoy the sound of the food being prepped/cooked in the background while you were talking. Your voice brings so much comfort and the additional sounds makes it feel homey and safe. Thank you for sharing your stories. I can't wait for your future podcast! Keep it up!

At 29 and single, you are absolutely living life as it comes and simply enjoying the ride, despite its many bumps and curves along the way. At 29 and single, I already went through 2 heartbreaks of relationships that could've been long term, but barely lasted weeks within this past year that left me emotionally scarred, broken, and hopeless. I needed to hear your stories and learn from you on how you got past your failed relationships. Thank you for sharing.

hi, i just listened to this episode on Spotify! i want to say that it made me tear up a little but in a good way. i just turned 20 and i’m still in a process of understanding and healing from my last year’s break up. the stories you shared really mean a lot to me as it is sometimes difficult to be excited for the future. i’m the eldest daughter and don’t have many close friends either so it really felt like listening to older sister’s advice which i would give a lot to hear:] thank you for opening up:) i know it’s a finished series but i’m excited to listen to the rest of episodes. i love your content a lot, it’s always so warm and makes me feel better. also the cooking on the podcast is SO CUTE. anyway, thank you:]

Thank you so much for sharing your loves with us🥺 I'm 18 and will be moving to a different place for uni this year. Like Layla, I've never dated before, and have zero experience when it comes to romance. But in a couple of months, my world is about get so much bigger. Sometimes this terrifies me, knowing that I will have to build a life for myself from scratch. But I am so so so very excited to take in all life has to offer me.

Maddy, this was so precious! I absolutely loved listening to it. It felt like a big sister giving me advice and telling me to not lose hope, because I’m 23 and in the same situation as Leila. I am on Hinge but too anxious to go forward with the guys I’ve spoken to. So your stories just made me feel like it’s okay and it’ll happen when it has to. So looking forward to next week’s episode 💕

This is such a great idea ❤️ loved to hear about your experience. I am 32 and am single again too. I had a 10 year relationship that was wonderful but ended up just not working out because I wanted different things for my life than he wanted. After that I went into a short and troubled relationship that hurt me a lot. It took me almost 2 years and a lot of hurt to get where i am now but I feel reall good again. ❤️

Wow, what a podcast. I love your content since I met you through doobydobap. I think both of you are making this empowering journey, inspiring other generations or the same as yours, most of them women, through your experience. For me, these past months it was very inspiring. As another story related to this podcast, I’ve going through a year break out, where my boyfriend left me without any reasonable season, but because of things we had in common, we were still seeing each other every single week. After nearly a year, he told me he missed me and I declined his proposal of being friends. Nearly the past week, I started to live in Seoul and I am still waiting for a goodbye from him that would never come. With this story, I want to thank content creators like you or doobydobap to adopt a view of reality transparent and simply real. Simply thanks!

This is so beautiful Maddy 🙈 I think you and I are the same age… and as you were telling your love stories I too went back in time and recalled each time I fell in love and got heart broken 🙈 but I want you to know that for someone who is as beautiful as you are (in and out ❤) love will take you by surprise ☺️ I was actually determined to never get married or fall in love and was avoiding it so much that without me even realizing, I fell in love with my friend whom I knew for 10 years… we both had our long term relationships and bad breakups, so we understood each other so well…. And now I’ve been happily married to him for 2.5 years with a beautiful baby girl 🥰❤️ there will be a time when you wake up and everyday seems like a day in heaven ❤much love

Not to go off topic, but the Lava You shirt brought back a funny memory for me. The short version is I didn't realize he was saying "lava" instead of "love-a" until the end of the song, and now any time I'm slow to realize something my mom's like "Hey, lava!" 🌋🤣

9:40 That's so wrong. Especially at that age. Most guys are shy and can't confess so quickly. Many dream in a romantic way of being friends for years and in the end it turning into a relationship. Atleast that what I always thought as a guy that age. And all women I liked (and liked me too) ended up friendzoning me because of how romantic my thoughts were. Then I realized women don't want a slow romance. They want fuckbois or men that are brave enough to hit on them aggressively (but in a respectful way)
