I had one question ... Can u tell me a few colours that tend to make a mix muddy?...and also how do u get a shade of pink?...is it watered down crimson or do u also mix white?
@Cafewatercolor7 жыл бұрын
Aurodeep Ray I use some carmine to mix pink. Usually when you use colors like burnt umber it will muddy the color a bit. But that's not necessary a bad thing. What happen to many people is they paint too many layers or they didn't wait for the paint to dry before start another wash. That tend to make the painting dirty

In addition, mixing colours opposite each other on the colour wheel will make greyer colours - not necessarily a bad thing unless you don't want that! For example adding violet to yellow, or green to red. This is in fact a way of darkening colours without adding black (horrible thing to do in watercolour painting). So if your red is too red, add a tiny amount of green...

I love how you use different colors for each part of the painting. Its very nice to see compared to artists who like to use only two or three colors for a part of an object. What paint brand do you happen to be using? They are beautiful colors :)
