I am from a college in England. Some of the students who do the Animal Care course have a part time job working on a farm. I have seen some of those farm students turning up to college driving their tractors.

I thought you had to be 17 years old to drive a car and 18 years old to drive a tractor on the road. You had to hold a car license to get a tractor license. I grew up on a fruit and vegetable farm in Hertfordshire. I have three older sisters named Natalie, Sophie and Rhianna. I remember we took our driving lessons for a car at 17 and then we weren’t able to get our tractor license until we were 18 and had a full driving licence.

Hi Jacko, You don't need to live on a farm to do this course. But it is beneficial to have some form of agricultural experience including the use of agricultural equipment.

They can’t drive on the road in the uk till 16. This is just for general farm use not road travel
