Bumping your head on metal is not fun. Get the roll cage padding. Don’t zip tie or half ass it. That padding is expensive. You’ll probably need 20,000 yen worth. if you don’t want to remove the cage, cut it into “C”, install, then glue back to “O”. If you do it perfect nobody will notice the seam but if you screw it up, no worries, use black fabric seam tape to hide the seam. Even if you remove the cage, the main hoop is always cut & glue method. The “O” shape won’t fit over the mounting plates.
