There is a bug if I remember correctly. The empty weight of the Z10 currently in game is actually the full load weight in real life.

@@jk0619 Its very situational, when I use it most missiles hit their target. If there is a competent SPAA up that knows how to deal with PARS, then PARS are a very good anti air missiles for anything heading to you and lower, well even if its higher just pitch the nose up and launch the missile, that gives is the needed altitude.

@@jk0619 Yeah, thats why the vikhrs are better to reliably one-hit-kill anything, you can control precisely where to hit. PARS simply go for center-of-mass hits, works fine against russian thanks etc. if it penetrates, but against tanks with spread crew of 4 not.

Good review Tims. The big problem with helicopters is their research and the high RP required. Can you make a video with the best way to research helicopters?

Play pve ec(its take long time to get while you play it you gonna start questioning why you do this) or just pay your way to it

@@soto1649 I know that, but they are very long games that can take more than an hour and with boosters it only gives about 12k RP

IMO the best way is to not research it. Judging from how little RP you get by playing helicopters, clearly Gaijin doesn't want you to acquire a top heli in any reasonable time without payment. Buy a Kamov Ka-50 and call it a day, or use GE to straight purchase a top heli, at least that's how I'm doing it.

@@gomes389 the only effective way was buying a premium heli,with prem account and playing a PVP mode dominated by ka50s (maybe the Z10 would have had superiority if it were at that time) That's how I could get 100 kills match + 1. 2 m sl + 220k RP (with big boosters ofc)

I really like the Chinese helis but honestly prefer the Z19 over this (the non premium one with the radar). One of the best AAs with the TY90s and being able to position yourself basically everywhere. The Radar helps acquiring targets and you don't have to listen for jet engines or watch for planes spawning in. TY90s in general ignroing flares and hitting absurd long shots really make playing like a rat fun. Reactions from other players is the icing on top

this game legit has everything from battlefield4 other than the ifvs and boats as well as stealth fighters. (not counting transports bc theyre sorta useless)

6:50 kinda not. You can just fire direct fireing missiles at the aa and any sams will trigger and sometimes not even destroy the heli missile. Edit: so just fireing multiple of those (against max 2 from anything like the FlaRak variants)

You need to identify what you are shooting at first, if it happens to be a Stormer that won't work, though I've only ever seen maybe three Stormers (not including my own) over the course of hundreds of matches so they are rare.

Ah the old cancer copter, best AA in the game. Spawn in immediately with a full load of TY90 missiles and fly to the enemy air/heli spawn and wait. Kill everything that spawns with absolutely no counter play(outside enemy AA range).... The number of times I have team killed them is glorious.

Yeah ... I didn't discuss that tactic, as I try not to encourage bad behavior, but that's very much a popular thing. Spawn camping sucks no matter who, how, or where.

It seems like every time I spawn in my Apache I must fire Starstreaks at Chinese helis before I can do anything, they are so annoying.

Sometimes it's unavoidable, it's a easy way to get kills, therefore making grinding a bit faster, especially for something like the z9w which only has 3km range atgm at 10.0 stock which is really bad since it'll almost face the 2s38 every game which will kill you

I haven't finished making a heli weapons one - every time I get like 80% of the way done, the snail drops some fundamental change that screws up what I'd been working on. Much of my tutorial on air to ground weapons applies, though some of the heli weapons are a bit more modern. My tutorial on how to *fly* helicopters is still current.

Most laser guided missiles support a form of LOAL, since they're semi-active and relying on you to lase the target.

In ground RB I frequently see someone spawn into an SPAA as their first vehicle. Its not hard to imagine why ;-)

The R-60M? Nah, TY-90 is a lot more flare resistant and can lock on frontally from further range which makes it more reliable.

If any R-60 even slightly suspects a burning strip of metal in the air, it will go for it instead of the exhaust smoke it was just launched at. Even ATAS are, although just having a max pull of 10G, very usable at a target that shoots flares and is aware of you, since they are almost flare-proof. R-60 are good, if your target has no access to flares or is not aware of you.

@@CrusherGER I find most are not aware of me when I get kills because they do not flare. If a pilot is aware of you then most times it won't matter if your missiles have some flare resistance. Better to have the longer range and snipe them as they go in for an attack run. You can attack on your terms.
