Caine is not programmed to be violent, and also it was stated that there’s a whole spectrum of emotions that Caine can’t feel, and that has to do with him being an ai, not his programming. he’s still affecting pomni’s mental state terribly, and that still makes the ship toxic, even though he has no intentions. A relationship can be toxic regardless of intentions. But still, i respect your opinion and strongly agree with your statement that it doesn’t really matter when you’re shipping fictional characters and opinions should be respected.

Btw, Caine did very much mean to delete gummigoo, since npcs aren’t allowed in the circus, and he implied that he can end up accidentally deleting a human (yikes) if he ever got an npc confused with one, but I know he didn’t mean to hurt pomni’s feelings and probably didn’t even understand that he did, since he can’t really empathize with humans. He probably thought pomni was just upset because she thought gummigoo looked cool or something simple like that, not that gummigoo was her friend and the only person she felt could truly understand how she was feeling.
