I just read Eric Bledsoe's career statistical averages on his FG and 3pt% throughout his time in the NBA. And they're pretty mediocre and won't cut it in today's league. This video confirms everything about those stats.
@Francis-vl5oy

I disagree he shoots about 34% for his career which is almost the same as Bron and he still gets by being a mediocre shooter. But Eric Bledsoe definitely can be streaky
@eamparbeng
@eamparbeng 3 жыл бұрын
@@Francis-vl5oy if it's 34% from 3, then he obviously doesn't have as many possessions as Lebron. Then that would mean that he's a more efficient than Lebron since Bledsoe hasn't been in the league as long either.
@scourge8097
@scourge8097 2 жыл бұрын
@@Francis-vl5oy He's also a 1st team All-NBA defender and he WAS outstanding taking the ball to the rim...in the regular season. It was the post-season where he'd just...I don't know, lose it. Instead of taking the contact and absorbing it and putting the ball up, he'd suddenly try to avoid it and throw these wild shots up off the top of the backboard...it was baffling to see. It really seemed like it was just a confidence issue.
@scourge8097

@@eamparbeng So BECAUSE he shot the same as LeBron, THEN it's obvious he didn't have as many possessions? Not because it's fucking LeBron, one of the most ball dominant Forwards in NBA History(probably THEE most)? Eric Bledsoe's issue wasn't his "career shooting pct." That's silly. As a regular season player, he was outstanding...especially when you factor in his defense. He just...lost it during the playoffs. That's it.

As a Bucks fan, it makes me sad to see Bledsoe get so much hate. People can say whatever they want about him in the playoffs but he did elevate the Bucks to a powerhouse in the league. I highly doubt the Bucks would’ve continued to get better and better unless we had Bledsoe. Gets too much hate man smh
@scourge8097
@scourge8097 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah...I think that's insane. Midds and Giannis were the leading forces behind the Bucks getting better, not Bled. He was a great defensive PG, he was a nice player, but he was just SO bad in the post-season for the Bucks...there was nothing they could do. They had to move off him. I'd bring him back just as a backup, but I think you exaggerate his role as this force behind the Bucks rise. I don't like the hate he gets either, but the fact is, he said he got so nervous before the games, he'd get sick. That CLEARLY showed up in the playoffs when he'd make just AWFUL decisions...to the point where they had to start benching him. If Bled plays just bad offensively vs Toronto, they win that series.

@@JackahoonaLaGuna maybe that's it, or maybe it was just bad luck in the past. He was never afraid to shoot or drive in and take it to the basket. When he was healthy with the Bucks he was a 90/50/40 guy- tremendous shooter.

Watch the Pelicans make the finals & win it next year lol. That's the Eric Bledsoe effect, every team that he leaves, the immediately become a championship contender : The Suns, the Bucks, etc. Don't be surprised if the Pels make it to the finals & possibly win it hahaha

I don't think Eric bledsoe career really warrants a "what happened to him". He was good but never an allstar or anything like that. Its an age thing hes 31 and declining which is normal for most players in the league except for the high lever superstars. He relied on his athleticism and energy but as he gets older he's less efficient. His 11ppg, (%40fg)refelcts that. Plus lonzo is the main PG and playmaker also zion and B.i need their touches. Thats just not his role at this point in his career.

2:12 this stat doesnt mean anything. For example this year Richaun Holmes is the only player in the league with 64 FG% and 1.5 assists. Doesn't mean he is the best player in the league, it just means he has this very specific statline
