Bloody 'road closed' signs 😆 Great ride, appreciate the climb up the tower 🤣

Great video, nice to see someone enjoying the ride without roosting and ripping everything up.

Looks like you're really enjoying the 300 Phil. A new bike makes all the old roads new again eh👍.

Awesome, thanks Phil. Cairncross has been on my list for a while, but I didn't know if it was accessible. Now both you and Staying Sane have been up there, so I think it's about time I did ! And I'm glad I'm not the only one that forgets the fork !! Ha ha !! Keep up the good work 👍

Get up there Greg- ideally on a smoke-free day. But she's a lot steeper than it appears on the gopro. But nice and grippy surface 👍

Try this for a steep hill: Yarrahapinni lookout via Strange Tree Rd, turn right off the Pacifid Hwy into Browns Crossing rd. Its a ripper hill but doable unloaded

Hi mate, had a look at a map, and I've been up Pirate Road into PTC Road - was on my CRF Rally in 2018. I remember that being pretty steep. Strange Tree Roads looks more-so. Might have to check it out. Though I do remember lots of clay on Pirate road 😫😫...lol

Phil thank you, you keep my memories vivid and alive. I've been going up that mountain since the early 70's, back then there was only a wooden fire tower none of those communication towers were there. An interesting fact about the mountain, the indigenous peoples called it Caoulapatamba. "Place where the eagles drink" once again buddy thank you👏👏😊

Thanks Neil for the traditional info- very interesting! "The place where eagles drink" - that's cool. And glad the video / location brought back some fond memories 😎👍

Mount Cairncross lies some twenty four kilometers inland and reaches a height of 536 meters. Although lower than the ranges beyond, it forms the dominant feature on the western skyline and its distinctive shape explains why it is known locally as the ‘Sleeping Elephant’.@@MidCoastAdventures

Mate, that drone footage is so good! I wonder what the view would be like first thing in the morning.

Absolutely, morning or arvo. Take away the back burning smoke would make it stunning 😎

Dad an I rode through kippara area from Taylor’s Arm a few days ago must have been close to you. We also rode through some of those small rock causeways, honestly terrible! Going a bit quicker stopped me from sinking into the rocks more however I imagine they would just get washed away after a big downpour. Nice vid Phil👍

I'd also like someone to give a comparison between that hill and the fire trail up to the towers on Bago. I chickened out on Bago and turned around :-)
@MidCoastAdventures Жыл бұрын
I've only been up Bago Bluff via Rollover Road, and that is flat compared to Tower Road 🤣 I'm going to go up there in a few weeks if you wanna head up with me. Cheers mate 👍
