Hiya Eddie, What a beautiful location, looked like you's all had a great time. That bothy is very nice, a credit to the m.b.a, having access to such places is a real privilidge. Nice to see you didn't get charmed into staying the night in it, the clues in the title 'WILDCAMPER'. Bothys are great, but give us a tent any day...you can 'fart and snore, til your wee hearts content in your own mobile hoose...lol. garn fora ratch On train right now to Sinclairs R&D. Plenty of farting and snoring the previous night in the bothy lol. Should be going back there soon with the usual suspects.I prefer my tent aswell but could be in another bothy this trip.Atb Eddie.

Its my third time there Shane , 3 years in a row and should be going back next month. Got up to a snowy summit just below plateau 1st trip , then camped on plateau 2nd trip but gale force winds whipped up during the night and a few people wanted down so we bailed at about 5am lol. I love it , atb.

Great stuff Eddie! Beautiful morning with the blue sky and the sun on the hilltops. I've spent some darn cold nights wild camping in the winter. The warmest I've been when it drops below freezing is going with a merino wool top, long-johns, socks, and a balaclava for my bald head. I only put those on just before getting into the goose down bag, which can be wicked cold changing, but staying dry is vital for a good night. Six inches of fresh snow today and still coming down. It kept me busy shoveling and I used the snowblower for the first time this season. Hope you get nice weather for your trip with Sinclair and Julie! Take care, Ossie

Yes drying off is vital i'm alway sweating during a hike. Its been raining in Glasgow the last 2 days so mild again Ossie. I think its a wee hill and a bothy trip but we see what the weather does.Take it easy , have a wee dram after the work. Atb Eddie.

It's heated up to -5 or -6! ha ha brilliant!! :) Superb Eddie that was a great film. I havent been as far down Glen Feshie as that, But i know it's a beautiful place. I think you could maybe give Glen Tilt a go one day Eddie,You could pitch at or near the Falls of Tarf. Bit of a trek but well worth it.

MUNROSnCORBETTS Cheers Peter , i've been looking at Glen Tilt and several other places for awhile hope to get there before i hang up my boots. It was baltic at aviemore -11c but it felt alot colder , its hard to emphasise how hot the bothy was lol. Atb.

A Winter wonderland indeed. We had snow last weekend in the Lakes but nothing like this, a wee dusting in comparison. I bet it was difficult following that (trench) path and keeping your balence with your backpack. Living like kings with that scoff mind and well worth a round of applause! Nice to get an extra wildcamp in Eddie but the bothy must have been tempting, especially with a -7 inside the tent. Great watch Eddie and a very Merry Christmas to you. Cheers Alan
