Another great video, always looks like fun (except the scumbag raiders part) and the meal at the end always makes me hungry. Several weeks back I entered the hat giveaway, not really expecting to be one of the lucky ones, but about three weeks back a pouch from Australia showed up in my mailbox here in the states with a hat like Kiani wore in the video . Try garlic, cut up some garlic and place within the fish heads, maybe in a stocking type material. But , make sure its fresh garlic.....and shoosh dont tell anyone lol I think crabs are more vegetarian than they are carnivore like yabbies. There are different techniques for catching yabbies which involve a vego diet, my name is Mick by the way I have a new 610 Territory Legend, awesome boat with a 200 Yamaha on the bum, pushes hard, living in Atherton not much of chance to get down to the salt

@@hayleyfrost9244Gday Hales, yeah nah I havnt tried Tinaroo in a long time and she's full as a goog right now so there plenty of tucker for them to spread out and have a smorgasbord, it's like going to Darling Harbour in Sydney with all the restaurants, too much choice for one little fella hahaha I used to catch the red claw up in the territory at places where it's not advisable to play in the water. Used to try different techniques but the best was and is always, at night chuck some bait like a dead fish tied onto some fishing line in the shallows so you can still see it, be very quiet and get the throw net ready, and about 20 odd minutes or so shine a good torch in the general direction and youll see all their little pinky red eyes around the bait all trying to have a crack, now throw the bloody net over the lot! Throw the girls back and keep the boys and bon appetite, there are other baits to use as well more vego style. Oh yeah if the red eyes are big...maybe dont throw the net...just get away from the water....just saying lol Love your channel, think you and your old man are a great duo, keep up the great work....I have a couple of stupid vids on my channel....might have to get back into some creating again shortly, get out and do some scuba stuff, your welcome to come along some time, we are only novice barrier reefies. Have you tried having a Louisiana Crab Boil. They are really good, espcially if you like spicey things. If you don't. I don't, like me, then just use less of the crab boil and seasoning. Here is what you need. Whole Small Red or Yellow Potatoes (boiling potatoes). If you can't find boiling potatoes, then use the smallest you can find and cut those in half. 2 - Large Onions (Cut in half) 2 - Whole Head of Garlice (with the top cut off exposing the individual cloves of garlic) 2- -Lemons (cut into quarters) 1 - Orange (Cut into quarters) 1 - Small Pack of Whole Mushrooms 1 - Pk of dry Crab, Crawfish, and Shrimp Boil 3 - Capfulls of Liquid Crab, Crawfish, and Shrimp Boil 24 oz of Andouille Sausage (If you can't find Andouille, then use a sauage of your choice (cut each link into 4" pieces) Corn on the Cob (cut in half to make smaller pieces) Crabs Fill pot about 1/2 full or enough to cover everything. Add dry crab boil and liquid crab boil. Be very careful. That liquid crab boil is super concentrated and very hot. Bring watter to a gentle rolling boil. Only bring to a hard boil if you're not cleaning the crabs first. You're boiling the whole. I don't like that, so I clean my crabs first. Once the water is boiling, squeeze your qurtered lemons and orages, then drop them all in the boil, peels and all. Add your onion halves (peels and all). Add your head of garlice (peels and all). Then, add your potatoes. Allow the potatoes to cook for 3 min, then add your mshrooms (whole). Next, add your Sausage, and cook for 2 minutes, then add your crabs. Boil for another 14-20 minutes or until crabs are done. Turn off your fire, then add your corn on the cob. Let soak for about 15, then take eveerything out and dig in. Keep your water at a gentle rolling boil if you cleaned your crabs first, so you don't knock the meat out of the crab while its boiling hard. Most people from Louisiana put the whole crabs in to boil, but I think that's gross. I would rather not have my crabs cooked in crab guts. They also eat the yellow stuff out of the head. It's called crab butter. They love it, but I think it's nasty. I also have a wonderful recipe for Gumbo. It's completely different, but taste yummy, yu,mmy, yummy. Let me know if you'd like the recipe for Gumbo. You can make chicken g0umbor, chicken and sausage gumbo, seafood gumbo with crab, crawfish (crayfish, yabbies) and shrimp. I make a chicken, sausage, and shrimp gumbo that is absolutely delicious.

I got it wrong, you just spray the sponge in wd40 and tie it to the pot which is suppose to attract the crabs. I believe it has fish oil or something in it that attracts the crabs. The recipe was really easy definitely try it ☺️

I’m in Sydney so yet to find where, if any, muddies to catch, but plenty blue swimmers in Botany Bay. I find with bait, slimy mackerel brings the most ( I reckon the oily, blood rich flesh is go). Also, about 1hr each side of the tide change brings the most. Of course luck helps but most of all, NOT being raided!
@fishingnoproblem4 ай бұрын
Maybe the water around Sydney is to cold for Muddies. We mainly use mullet with a bit of Tuna oil soaked in. Set pots late afternoon and collect early hopefully before the raiders turn up. I like a incoming tide myself. Thanks again for your comment. Was good reading. Cheers from Cairns. Please write again.

Whenever I crab the Trinity I’ll drop me pots and then go sit at the mouth of the creek and soak a bait. Every time a boat goes up I go into pitbull mode.. ☠️. I’ll just cruise up the creek with them.. 😂 I’ll check me pots every two hours if there’s nothing in em .. I’ll move them around .. 😉
