He is right, Caitlin Clark is the first rookie in WNBA History to be denied, face guarded, Double teamed , Triple teamed 94 Feet as soon as she catches the ball. Every point, steal, rebound and assist she gets has to earn it. The Fever need to build a better team around her so that she can pass them the ball to score. But they can't even catch a simple pass from Caitlin. Real Talk.
@Vadimony
@Vadimony 6 ай бұрын
Even her assists are earned since her team loves to blow open under the rim layups and then get the rebound to score in spite of it. LOL.

Are you talking about the NBA or WBNA? Caitlyn is in the big league now! Most WBNA players - probably are from the 'hood - & played B-ball - just like they said Caitlyn did-as a young girl! But were more physical - & when they made a basket - they took a hit for it!! Caitlyn probably just practiced all the time & perfected her shooting! ....But it is not a 1 woman sport & is very physical! They will break her in for sure!

The best example I can think of in the nba is Linsanity. And it worked, because the teams that were playing him that way, actually did a thing called BEATING THE KNICKS. Miami kicked that shit off against Linsanity properly. You guys watch the sport to see phenoms get treated like babies, and then get butthurt when defenders to there FUCKIN JOB!!! Linsanity and Clark definitely parallel in terms of victimhood fans getting mad that opposing teams have the audacity to defend them how they're supposed to be defended and expose their weaknesses.
@benjaminsmith2287
@benjaminsmith2287 6 ай бұрын
@@Ocramlp Lin came back the next game and scored over 20 I believe. What slowed Lin down was D'Antoni leaving, Anthony coming back, and then him messing up his knee. Ultimately, Lin had different types of fans and yeah, some of them got into victimhood while others just wanted to see him play and rooted for him. Clark is a totally different story and a number 1 pick. Her marketability and playing style is what has elevated her. I think also, she's just polished and business like in interviews and I don't think she has social media.

Caitlin really just got lucky in a way & that’s what people not getting. NIL was just started 2021, she goes to a small school & turns it up building her profile instead of going the UConn route. And likely because she was basically on an island in Iowa, she was able to grow her fan base so big. We know the other veteran players are mostly better as real hoopers, but they didn’t have as big of brands coming into the league. And that’s just facts when it comes to the business side of what she’s bringing to the league. The WNBA will cater to her, just like it did Jordan & Lebron. They can be mad all they want or prepare themselves for an opportunity to really fight back with their play as more fans are coming in. Real hoop head will recognize game, but with their attitude they are completely fumbling the bag.

I don't like petty jealousy in sports. You see players still jealous over Jordan. But if the commissioner of the WNBA does not do anything to ensure player safety, and Cailin Clark gets injured. I would sue the shit out of the league. Tou can not only see that it was planned, but you see players cheering on the bench when it happens. So you know they talked about it before the game. And if you allow attacks to happen, clearly more to one person than anyone else, there's a lawsuit. A quarter of the league is acting worse than Draymond Green and getting away with it.

Actually no. I mean these same players played competitively in college and there is a large following there so... The problem has really been lack of media buys and the trash coverage. Some of us were fans for years. In fact, the women's Olympic team drew me in decades ago. I was excited with the league for started. It had a large following then. Somehow the league screwed that up. Hard to find games on. Constantly changing the channels and the times. Couldn't see games you wanted to see. Like I said, that has been the problem. I still know people that continued to follow but a lot gave up. Also, these same kids go to NBA games with their parents. And football games. I'm sure you don't think that it's all hugs and kisses in those leagues.

Wow! Observing the large number of men in our community who are trashing our sisters in the WNBA by calling them jealous and envious is really eye opening for me. I will note this deep in my memory and make sure to remember this incidence the next time there is some sort of an occurrence thsy happens where they will look for our understanding and support.

~ Gil made some solid points… HOWEVER, Chennedy Clark did in fact LOCK up Caitlin. The one cheap shot withstanding. Which was all about intimidation, Carter did in fact “strap up on D” 😂😂😂 nah. Seriously without that intended pun Carter was giving Caitlin fits in that game. Plus she blew by her a few times as well.

Gil made no valid points. He’s protecting his brand and his sponsorships. Gil has proven over and over nothing he says is true. He’s willing to say anything to cater to a certain segment in the community.

The choke slam on Angel was WAY worse than anything Caitlin has gone through in the league. But it’s breaking news when Caitlin gets bumped 😂. And we acting like we don’t see Caitlin being shady af on the court in college and the league.

Bro we all looking pass how good the game was to highlight 1 PLAY and it wasn't even about Caitlyn and Angel carrying their teams Chennedy actually was balling out 1 emotional play shouldnt over shadow her game 💯 and shout to Mitchell and Boston on Fever they stepped up and carried their rookie across the finish line in her biggest most hard fought game so far big props to both teams very entertaining game 💯
