I know people have strong feelings about Caitlin Clark, one way or the other. But if it wasn't for Clark I would never have known how good A'ja Wilson or Breanna Stewart are. And I have become a Fever fan not just because of Clark, I really like Mitchell and Boston. I heard Mitchell is going to be a fee agent next year. I hope she stays. The WNBA would be even better if it wasn't like a soap opera all the time. It's like watching the Kardashians, with a little more racism.

Attitude is everything in sports. Kelsey Mitchell is having an outstanding season and making the most of her opportunity to shine (Hull and Boston also). Mitchell brings speed that is exciting to watch. Smith is a classic example of what not to do as she sits in the corner, sucking on her thumb, and bringing her girlfriend's toxic attitude to the team. Her play is average and inconsistent at best. It will be an interesting playoffs for the first time in a long time as people tune in to see just how far a revitalized and energized Fever team can go. Mitchell deserves a long run

Aja's claim to the MVP is just her scoring ability, which is not very much above that of Caitlin (27 - 24 average). But Caitlin has so much more on and off court: excellent court vision and generalship, superb passing ability, elevating the skill of her Fever team mates, transforming the Fever team from bottom dweller to play off participants, and most of all: drawing attendance, attention, gate receipts and increased interest and awareness of the WNBA. Take away Aja from the league, and nothing much happens. Take away Caitlin, and the WNBA will sink back to the stupor it was in before Caitlin came into the scene. Now, to whom should you award the MVP title?

Keep in mind, Caitlin has been playing straight for almost a year. Yes, she got a month off during the olympics, but the beginning of her senior year at Iowa and her first season with the Fever means she has played almost an entire year without much rest.

This is why the RotY contest was never really a contest. A dominant guard elevates the game of everyone on the court. CC pulls coverage from half court which creates space and opportunities. The Fever have figured out how to move off-ball and take advantage of this. When you’re getting open looks, of course your shooting percentage will go up. When you have an elite PG and a potent SG… well we all saw what the Golden State Warriors did from 2015 to 2022.

yes it's shocking to see. The rules have really changed. NOBODY would have gotten away with carrying the ball like that back when I played. It does make for more exciting basketball though. All the fancy dribbling through the legs and lightning quick changing of direction is now possible for many ball handlers. I'm for the change. Not so sure about the way they walk though. Used to be 1 1/2 steps from a stopped dribble. Now I commonly see 3 steps LOL.

The commentators,critics and anchors even fans and coaches are ignoring Smith whose average for Fever before Catiline Clark was 15 pr game but now declined to 10 pr game. So Catiline must took care of her as she was performing and is underdog whose score will beat the best teams like New York's Liberty and Loss Vegas's Aces.
