I think at first she thought Caitlin would come in and push her out (and at the same time limit her opportunity to get the max contract she is looking for). Now she knows that her skills and scoring compliment Caitlin’s court general/assists first and scoring second mentality. They are by far the best guard duo in the league and I think it will only get better as they play more with each other. Really fun to watch and very happy that Kelsey sees that she can get what she deserves sharing the limelight with Caitlin. Caitlin gets a lot of credit for this in focusing primarily on her passing and court management and going out of her way to find Kelsey - which now is paying such dividends. And Kelsey is coming a bit out of her shell in front of the media. Shine girl!

I don’t know why you’d think that, their skill sets are quite complementary, maybe we’re thinking of modern nba star troubles. Two quick handle scorers, splash sisters What is a wnba max contract? The league is losing $50 million this year, more than the usual $10 million they’ve lost for some time in the quarter century they existed. Caitlin is changing this.
@TruthMatters224 ай бұрын
@@Staypuft1981They were not complimentary earlier because Kelsey initially would dribble too much, never pass the ball to Caitlin (or anyone else for that matter) and was reluctant to let Caitlin run the offense. As a result, she did not take advantage of the double teams Caitlin drew or her passing and took a lot of bad shots under duress. Totally different now. Max contract is about $300,000.

They still need to get better. Dallas is not a great team but they defended them this game like it was a playoff game. The scheme Dallas used was good against the fever and Shelby played the best individual D on Caitlin all year. She was super active with her feet and fought over the screens. I noticed Dallas also doing anything to break the flow like kick the ball. There was one play where two players were trying to kick it. Anything to take Indiana out of its high pace offense. They will need to be able to execute well in the half court to be champions Dallas isn't a good offensive team but that were on fire this game. All that to say, they played an incomplete team and got by but a complete team using Dallas's defensive formula will knock the fever out as they are. Fever need to keep finding another gear

She's the same coach and does the same things she did when they were 1-8. The women deserve all the credit for learning to play as a team. Without CC, they have the same record they did last year.

The only thing Sides has done right is adopt Iowa's style of play.

They can win it all and Shock the World🤯. I honestly don't think it would be THAT huge a shock....

She balled out. Fever has some shooters. Clark, Boston, Mitchell. Real dawgs. Arike went crazy on wings too as usual.

Sides actually still has her voice at end of the games now since the break. She doesn’t have to fuss as much as the team is slowly starting to get it figured out as she says. Congrats coach Sides take a bow. You’ve been coaching great lately, believe me I thought I’d never say that but I gotta give credit where it’s due.

Kelsey Mitchell is the most underrated player in the entire WNBA. She should get the max contract she deserves it.
