Good interview. The defense denied the floor general with a quick double team and they covered the passing lanes. Boston didn't set the usual screens and a new Fever player shows up in the game who doesn't pass to the general. The first action in the winning games has been to get the ball and give it to the play maker. We didn't do that. What does Hull need to do to start?
@lakelanddentalarts2 ай бұрын
I agree about Lexie regarding her being a starter. I think one of the problems Sides is dealing with is how little Smith is caring about playing, which doesn't leave her with many options in who to start. Lexie has the heart to be a starter and has some good sharpshooting skills when she's cooking; however, she needs more practice and experience in moving the ball when passing and dribbling. Lexie is best used off the bench for now with plans to develop her into a future starter. It's very telling that Smith's brother went on a tweet-rampage after the game demanding that Sides trade his sister. It explained a lot about her attitude and playing this season, and she's obviously made it known to her brother that she doesn't like being with the Fever. Look at the huge amount of difference in the chemistry that's developed between Caitlin and Aliyah compared to there seeming to be no interest by Smith in developing chemistry with Caitlin. I'd been hoping to see some develop during the practices during the Olympic Break, but I'm not seeing any signs of it, and the tweets from Smith's brother could explain the why of it.
@davidmichaeljackson2 ай бұрын
@@lakelanddentalarts Well said! Mitchell has come around and "gets it". She made the prettiest assist in the last game. When CC is trapped she has to step up. Boston sets a screen for her and rolls. Very true. I rate the Lynx as having the most versatile and toughest defense in the league, and when their offense gets cooking the pot boils over. That combination makes them a tough team to beat, especially when the Fever has a lot of work to do with getting their defense up to snuff. It also doesn't help when Sides pulls boneheaded moves like leaving Dantas on the court when all she's throwing at the basket are bricks. After her 3rd miss Sides should have yanked her back to the bench. When a player's missing shots at all ranges of shooting, when they're that 'cold' on the floor the best place for them is warming the bench.

Consistency is the hallmark to being great, to being champions. CC is always consistent. She never stops her game, even when her team is losing CC contunies battling. She is a warrior. She is the best the W has. She is a champion.

Yeah, Fever must have higher shooting percentages against teams like Lynx. They also need to solve the high Turnovers problem. Its offense also appears predictable, so it’s easy to guard and shut down CC, AB and KM - that’s pretty much shut down the whole team.

Tell me why Samuelson started both halves and not Hull?? We got smoked both half first 3 minutes! I don't get Sides decisions

good job... won't be long before you're there

They have improved since early season. However, tonight, they were outcoached and outhustled. Sides should start Hull over Samuelson. By the way last night Celeste Taylor played awesome for the Mercury. I won't forgive Dunn and Sides for letting her go, plain stupid.

Would love to see this team hit the boards more often. Anytime a team mate shoots a three, they just watch, instead of setting up to rebound.

Sometimes I would love to hear what Mitchell and the other players have to say in the post game press conferences and that's nothing against Clarke.

Check the reporters because all of their questions are Clark heavy.

Fever missed so many shots - I think 12 missed shots 2nd half. Sides conceded this game! Terrible decisions especially in 4th quarter. If 1/2 those shots went in - the Fever would've won.

Great game Fever. Tied w/ Lynx 1 game each now ... Fever will win next time against them. Don't hang your heads, today was their win. (Are you sure you didn't lose bcz was Maya Moore night? /s ;) )

This observation should have been raised with coach and Caitlin! At 6:16 mark 4th qtr. Lexis Hull scored CC assist....I WOULD EXPECT CC22 TO THROW UP SHOTS! She did not attempt a shot until the 44.1 sec mark 69-72. Caitlin this inexcusable for a person of your talent. I would expect you to be taking responsibility with or without help from your coach. C'mon girl!!!! Coach Sides where are your plays to get this to happen. Play should be either Kelsey, Caitlin and Lexie to be throwing shots in last 5 minutes with AB on pick and roll🇦🇺

Without Mitchell we lose by 40
@paulhuskey91882 ай бұрын
With out CC we lose by 40. 20 plus points and 8 assist. 5 rebounds that would acount for about fourth points. Boston had a good game but some time rest of the team has to show up.

The Lynx played a tough game last night why didn't the Fever run them into the ground! Samuelson can't hit wide open shots she needs to ride the pine with Berger along with Smith and just cheer the team on.
@MikC-hu6ld2 ай бұрын
Good effort. Stayed in the game. Just four more baskets, to keep it close. They had one player with a high score. Otherwise, it might have been a tied game, in the last few minutes.
@melee67562 ай бұрын
No one an pass the ball well except CC; so don't try. No one really want to give up the ball to CC, but they keep missing and lose the balls too. Missed easy lay ups. CC should not keep passing the balls and they cannot deliver most of the times, CC is trying to be nice but won't win games.

Fever played like crap. The half court play that Sides is obsessed with needs to go.

Why riddle me this Coach Sides? Waited until 1:45 sec to let HULL IN?! No flipping TIME OUT in 1st Qtr while the other team goes on a run 13-16pts!? You threw this game!! For the M Moore team!!!😮
