Boston was a completely different player. She put on weight and is out of shape. Sides should have cut her in the pre-season. There is no time to train mid season, boston screwed herself over. She basically cannot control her eating and she admitted this fact while thinking she was past these issues. She wasn't. When a player says crap like this quote, “I’ve learned I am not everybody else,” Boston said. “I cannot just eat everything. There are some people that could really just go to Chick-fil-A every day, have no issues and still come down the court and be successful. You know what? I’m happy for those people. But me, I’m not one of those.", it is over for her. There is no such thing as magical metabolisms. She simply eats more than other people. She has an overeating problem that was never addressed, she was just micromanaged in college. The people who eat out and don't gain weight are eating less, it is that simple. She needs to be cut immediately. She can spend the next year getting her act together or doing something else if she refuses to stop overeating. They even have drugs like ozempic and mounjaro that help curb the uncontrollable appetite urges that have caused people to be obese. If she was in the same shape as last year, the fever would win every game. She isn't and is costing the team wins. Boston and sides are both responsible for this. It was publicly known that boston needed her eating to be micromanaged to stay in playing shape when the fever drafted her.

Boston made a very big mistake not going overseas after last season. Yes these players go for the money but it also keeps you sharp and your fitness up when you go abroad. The WNBA is only 40 games plus playoffs if you make it. There's months on end before the start or the new season. The article explains her health was micromanaged by the team in college to get her into star athlete shape. That is how she stayed healthy and going right from college into the wnba allowed her to keep it while playing. Sides drafted her knowing her very public struggle and then didn't monitor her health over the offseason to make sure she would be ready? Sides should be fired for this alone. Boston should be cut immediately for a new draftee that did not make a team. Boston can then either train and be ready next year or go be a regular person gorging on fast food. I personally would not entertain a player that fucked up this badly. She can never be trusted to stay healthy through the off season ever again. Any team that hires her will have to micromanage her eating and exercise the entire off season.

I think Boston did not come into camp as ready as she needed to BUT she will be a star. The ball goes through CC’s hands now when the O ran through Boston last year. By the second half of the season I think the fever look way better. Where you and I agree is if they have a high pick again In 25, which they more than likely will, I would get a great rebounder and blocker if that person is available. This team has enough scorers. Cc was exhausted against the Aces- let’s see how they do with a more normal schedule as the season progresses. There are a bunch of incredible players in the W and this young team will grow.

The problem is coach Sides & her favoritism of her Wheeler & Wallace. Wallace was the reason Fever lost the last game. The Fever had a chance to win twice in the last 11 seconds, but Wallace inbound pass screwed it up both times. First time she overthrew it to Katie Lou & the 2nd time to CC. At first I thought the 2nd pass was CC's fault & she couldn't hold onto the ball, but I went back & rewatched the play. Not only did Wallace throw it late & way past CC, then Wallace just stood there out of bounds & watched CC struggle to hold onto the ball w/3 Storm players on her. Only Boston came over to help her. Wheeler & Wallace played for Sides at Atlanta. So when Sides got the job at Fever last year, the first thing Sides did was bring both of them to the Fever roster. Sides even talked Fever mgmt. into paying Wheeler the highest salary in the league at the time. (Now Wheeler is the 7th highest paid player). And I don't know if Sides is incompetent or purposely screwing the team over, but she can't wait to pull out starters & mess up their chemistry or flow to put in her favorite underachievers, Wheeler & Wallace. Wheeler is def a ball hog & Wallace spends a lot of time looking like she's doing something w/o accomplishing anything. And multiples times they have both looked straight at a wide open CC & thrown the ball to anyone but CC.

You have to blame sides for boston not preparing in the off season. Sides does not know what she is doing. Rookies should have a closer relationship to the team in their first off season if they don't play overseas. Boston should have been cut for a new rookie and still can be. Seems obvious that Aaliyah did not come back in shape. Can't really call it a jump shot when there's little or no jump. She can't win jump balls against shorter players. Caitlyn is not preventing her from jumping. AB's strength seems down from last year too. Maybe she's pregnant! Rumor started here!
