my buddy tried to get with a girl on this camping trip a while back who thought she could do a British accent; it was very bad. She kept doing it around the campfire, EVEN when no one would respond or acknowledge it. The cringiest campfire of all time, I took five dabs in 10 min just to put me to sleep as soon as possible.

43:00 "We go through a million births and rebirths in a life...Death is the biggest rebirth we experience during our physical time on earth" Damn, you put it beautifully, Caleb. I really try to see death as magical as birth is. We are making space for other materials to reassemble into life and experience its majesty. And I feel like that's why a meaningful life is when you make life better for others, present and future.

Manifestation in my spiritual practice is more like don’t say things like “bad things always happen to me” or “I’m so broke”. My mom always explained it like the universe doesn’t speak English it speaks vibrations so the more energy you put towards something the more it manifests in your life. You don’t have to walk around saying “life is amazing and I’m rich” but instead when something bad happens you can say “i know I’ll figure it out cause i always do.”

Caleb , on ghosts: my dad took me, my brother, and our aunt who has special needs , to a ghost town about an hour out from where I live (Central Valley California). We paid to get in, went into a little shack with a guide who held a response candle and said we would be talking to a ghost. All lights off. A room full of people including my family I mentioned. The guide starts asking the ghost questions like “Are you here?” Silence. “Are you angry?” Silence and all of us are just like in there in the dark w him and then he demands the ghost “WHAT IS YOUR NAME?!” And my aunt w a major developmental disability says in a weak brittle voice “ f r a ncis”. And the whole room went up in a roar and these kids were like THE GHOSTS NAME IS FRANCIS THE GHOSTS NAME IS FRANCIS!!! And me and my family were like … let’s get out of here.

28:00 As someone who uses manifestation (and has been for a few years now), I do think it's unrealistic when people assume that an outcome is (or should be) definite simply because they wished for it hard enough. The law of attraction involves using the power of consciousness to sort of *nudge* things in the direction that you want them to go, but it's not going to do everything for you; it's essentially just meant to give a boost to the things that you are actively working towards. That's why I can't take books like, "The Secret" seriously, bc they make it sound like thinking really hard about something is all that's necessary.
