Caitlin, you’re the most authentic of all the advisors I’ve seen on KZbin Things I’ve been complemented on by women. Most of all on my bum, eyes, lips, yep, my forearms (still think that’s weird), hands, dad bod, (but healthy), that I’m great with kids (I have four), good at fixing stuff, intelligence, good conversationalist, authentic, articulate, kind, careful, patient driver, thoughtful, sincere, cooking, stubble and wild hair, spectacles, forthright, true to myself, openness. I’m 52 and only 5’ 7” tall and for years thought I wasn’t much of a catch. The women’s who complemented me over the decades and working on myself to be the best version of myself that I can be, I finally realised I’m quite a good catch. This additional confidence added further to my attractiveness and allowed this introvert to become openly flirtatious and direct, to take charge and set boundaries. The difference when dating these days is that if there is an initial interest, the chemistry can quickly turn into a powerful connection and attraction.

I think it's kind of adorable when you compliment a guy and he's so flattered and surprised by it, and sometimes a little embarrassed. I like catching him off guard and making him feel good. Although, on the other hand, it deeply saddens me that men are complimented so infrequently that they're unsure of how to respond to it.

Same as women, though they have it a little bit worse. There's hardly a woman that doesn't repsond to a compliment by playing it down or even denying nice things you just said ("you're lying!", or "yeah, right!"), instead of just saying "thanks, that's very nice of you"!

@@JC-mx5dy Women don't even know what they're attracted to, pheromones and compatible antigens might be the greatest determinant. A woman might report that she loves a guy's vulnerability or facial hair, but the statistical predictor of hating choice is more likely social status or income. Alright brother, the thing might be that a lot of women are insecure. There are studies that show attractive men are complemented far less. Several reasons , but the most common is that women find it more difficult to compliment attractive men than men find it to compliment attractive women.

One day a few months ago a lady I never met before told me I was a handsome man with the biggest smile on her face plus she was blushing after I held the door for her and it caught me off guard because I wasn't even looking my best at all and I was feeling kind of down but that interaction made my day and started to walking around with a bolder stride and joy for a few more days after that one compliment.

Interesting you said that. I agree. As a straight male, but a life-long confirmed bachelor (although, I have a "never say never attitude", it has been boy choice)... I totally agree. There are some basics that many women find attractive. However... lots in this list were quirks. Unusual things. And YES... we all like a couple of things in the opposite sex. Some guys like tall, thin volleyball players and don't care if they have an A-cup. Some guys only want a girl who is DD cup, and does not care if she weighs 300 pounds. That does not mean either if the average norm in attractiveness. (Nor does it mean I'm shaming either). Simply being pragmatic.

It's nice to hear this kind of thing. After many years of feeling like the brown box on the shelf with th eplain wrapping that's not very attractive to look at, I have deliberately taken the position that inside my plain packaging is a whole lot of worthwhile and anyone who doesn't know that inside a brown paper package tied up with string can be a few of their favourite things, well, they're the ones missing out. (And they might stand to watcha few more movies...) Thanks Caitlin.

Thank you for posting this! Ever since high school my friends have been harassing me about girls/women always being after me and not them lol. Even though quite a few of your points apply to me I’ve always given most of the credit to my mum because she raised me by herself. Also, she worked as a seamstress with a couple hundred women and whenever they got together I could hear what they were saying about men. What they liked what they didn’t like, what made some men more attractive than other men etc. I also think part of it is I really like women. I like having conversations with women, I respect women, and I’m not a jerk ever. Oh and eyelashes lol. I’ve been told a thousand times by women that they wish they had my eyelashes lol Anyways I just hope that more men see this video and take heart that most women aren’t looking for MrPerfect or Thor lol. They need to figure out what their strengths are and work on the rest.

I'm a guy in my late 30's (although my body makes me feel older), with 2 kids with special needs. It's A LOT. I'm going through a divorce and I'm learning a lot from these type of channels as I consider what's next for me. Example. Although I can fix almost anything in my house or on my car, I never saw being handy as an attractive trait, just as something i needed to be a "real man". I have some skills I've taught myself. I can play some guitar (mostly songs from comedians). I've never had anybody much care. I build replicas of movie/tv props and costumes. What a nerd, right? At least that's what the voice in my head says when people ask what I do. I can cook and bake. Okay, cooking is typically a good talking point, especially when i have photos. Sidenote: I'm also a particularly good driver. Point is that I've never embraced what I could do as attractive qualities. All I ever focus on is my shortcomings. I'm really bad at finishing things. I get overwhelmed pretty easy. I DO have that Dad Bod. I guess what I'm saying is thanks for shedding some light that some of the parts I'm hiding are actually interesting and attractive, and that i should focus less on what my brain tells me are flaws.

For me, what women, or guys find best about me is what I’ve overcome. 16 surgeries done in my life, 5 on my brain. So I definitely fit into the scar category, but it’s always something I’ve been self conscious about. I can feel my head scars and the one in my chest. We worked out at the same gym and he always had a group of girls hanging out trying to get close to him. Here’s what he did: He got girls to talk about themselves. Then he listened. Then he convinced them that what they said was fascinating and that he wanted to hear more. In fact, he actually was interested in what they had to say about themselves and the girls loved it. Plato’s third idea was to “ let your lover change you”. Meaning you should identify healthy behaviours and attitudes within your partner and allow them to make you better. This doesn’t mean you’re a man who needs fixing. You yourself if you’ve done enough self development can posses the things your partner also possesses which will have a positive chain reaction for your relationship 👌🏼

I can't help but notice and wonder if the roots of a lot of these traits is proving and providing primordial survival. Attractiveness to male musk may be traced evolutionarily to emerging victorious from battle, or fighting to defend his woman and country. He's now coming home to the family. Not only does it signal success, but primordially signals raw living safety to live another day. The vein allure looks as though we're in perpetually flexing for fight. Scars. You explained it well. Principled personality exudes morals and ethics Essentially, if a can stand up for myself and fight...he'll most likely stand up for his girl I meet a lot of the ones on the list...aka hair, bod and facial, quirkiness. But don't have the girl to show them off to. Thanks for the entertaining, reassuring list. A lot was unique and shows that people are attracted to different, totally arbitrary things. Lesson don't discount unnoticed underrated features.

Alot of these may not be physical/aesthetic things, but they are good character traits that make you interesting and make people want to talk to you. Talents, especially. I started laughing hysterically when you said some traits and I happen to be an amputee when talking about the part about feet. 🤣🤣🤣

There's a TED talk with a guy who has several amputations. Was called "The perks of being a pirate" or something like that. I remember watching it, thinking "He's so hot!". Guess it was because of his mindset and mentality about it. Loved it.

This video was so insightful! Wow! The one trait you talked about that I have and have known I have had for a long time (woman tell me about it a lot) is my hands and forearms. I am a guitar player and a real hands on guy and my hands show it. I have big, veiny, strong, hairy, masculine hands and forearms.....women love to touch, rub, and play with them and I have to admit, I have a hell of good finger game in the bedroom. I was married for a long time and my ex wanted to keep my hands and fingers in the divorce settlement. lol!!!!

In my own personal life experience, I've found that it's usually not worthwhile to try to play the so called hero, meaning to stand up for what's right, as explained in this video, and in other ways as well.

It's a not easy to define but I've heard that "the way you move; walk, gait, body motion, etc" can be a big attraction.

From what I gather, slowing down eeeveerrythiing (especially if you tend to be anxious). Moving and speaking more slowly is confident. You're not in a hurry for everything.

Confidence. Not many want a beta male, at the same time being an overconfident douche isn’t always a good thing either.

For sure, the way you carry yourself can be very sexy. It's mostly about confidence, but there are certain masculine ways of carrying yourself that I'm sure many women like.

You are absolutely right. If a man carries himself with confidence it will definitely catch a woman's attention.

I get and can understand most of your points except for the dad bid. I find it very hard to believe that anyone finds my extra 15lbs attractive! Thanks for making me a better, but just not believing that one. 🤔 thanks for your channel.

I had a woman tell me the other day that she's really liked my Camry that I drive. She said "So many guys are trying to show off with their cars and pickups, that I like a guy who knows that a car doesn't make the man. It shows self confidence."

i am 100% about honesty and this has made me completely confused because EVERYone of those traits is me to a T and im am 1 surprised 2 sad and 3 ive only had two girlfriends in life im nearly 40 and both cheated on me and every other woman has turned me down i am physically above average looking or average ive always hated that i have freckles pretty much only on my arms some on my face but it pisses me off cause i feel that is the 1 thing thats possibly a turn off but also the only thing women see 😑
